Did I read somewhere that you can make PS arrangements at a restaurant which includes seating for Fantasmic? If so, any special tips or suggestions? (I'd do just about anything to avoid waiting or crowds.)

Thanks!! :D :D

If you go to www.wdwig.com and type in Fantasmic Dinner Package in the search, it will tell you all about it. Some people feel it's worth it, some people don't. I think it depends on the time of year you go. If you go during a very busy time, I think it's definitely worth it. If you go during a slower time, you might feel it's not worth it and take your chances on getting a seat without the dinner package.

I had the FDP at Brown Derby last Monday and I thought it was great! We got to order one appetizer, one entree and one dessert from the regular menu. Our PS was at 6:10 PM and we had to show up by 8:30 PM (near Oscars) to be seated for the show. The show was initially rained out, so they let us use the tickets for any other day that week. We went back on Tuesday and showed up at 8:30. I was so glad we had the tickets because it was pretty packed. By the time 9:00 PM rolled around, the entire place was filled! This was my first time at Fantasmic so I thought I'd should book the FDP to skip the wait. I'm not sure how long you'd have to wait in line otherwise.

Hi House of Princesses (I like your name!)

I think the fantasmic package is great...

You have to eat right? So why not have a nice dinner and relax knowing you have seats for the show.

The seats are on the extreme right of the theatre and the CM's are careful checking who gets in to sit there. We were about half way up and had a great view - although I think you can see the show well from anywhere except standing room.

While others were already staking out their seats... we were riding Tower of Terror knowing we didn't have to worry:D

Our package was with Mama Melroses and it was really good - we are going again this year and trying the Brown Derby. There is also a buffet dinner at Hollywood & VIne.

Have fun

I hope they are still offering this package in September. I missed fantasmic on our last trip because I did not want to stakeout seats for over an hour. The kids get really cranky waiting.

We were there the same night as bunnyfoo, rained out and returned the next night to a packed theater. The main complaint I've heard from people is that the seating is to the far right, however, we got there at 8:20 to be seated and were about halfway up and just to the right of center, which I thought was a perfect seat. Sun was setting and we had a cool breeze, nice. We did have to sit there for 40 minutes before it started, but the kids had fun doing the wave....and buying little electric light up things that Disney so conveniently peddled to their captive audience before the show. ;) I'm very glad we did the dinner package, because I really wanted to see Fantasmic and my husband hates to wait in line. If we hadn't done it, I would have been nervous that we would wait in line, get grumpy, and end up without a seat when it was all said and done because we didn't get in line early enough. There were definitely not enough seats for everyone who wanted one.

Hi, we just got back from Disney and did the Fantasmic package on Saturday May 24. We ate at Hollywood and Vine and it was a great buffet. The food was fresh and delicious and the service was friendly and fast. After we received out dinner pkg coupon, we rode some rides and shopped until about 20 minutes before the show. We were seated in the second section to the far right. We were surprised that the stadium was almost completely full. The show was great and the kids loved.it. With my sons being 7 anad 4, I am so glad we did the package. The boys just can't wait 45 minute to 1 1/2 hours for a show, and we didn't. I would gladly do the package again. Like the others said, you have to eat anyway, why not combine a great meal and priority seating for Fantasmic?

I agree if you have young kids or just don't like to wait then the Fantasmic Package is for you.
My last three trips did the Fantasmic Package at Mama Melrose, hated the food but loved the seats, no package went by myself and was able to get center seats 1 hour before and this past trip it rained for two hours (4:30pm-6:30pm) but cleared up before the show and we walked in 10 minutes before the show started and the place was still not full. However, we do go in late April/early May when there are not large crowds.
The other thing I have heard is when there is two shows the 2nd one is much less crowded, if that is an option for you.
I liked it better in 2001 and 2002 and heard they were trying out a new version earlier this month when I was there. I hope they go back to the other one. Have fun, it is a great show!

I agree with the idea that it depends on the time of year you go. The busier the season, the better the dinner package is. When its slow you can get just as good seats to Fantasmic without the package. We did it once with the Brown Derby, and although we did get stuck eating at a wierd time, it was well worth it! Make your ressies early!

We just did the package (last minute thing) on May 16th. Keep in mind that this was not a busy time AT ALL!!! But fantasmic was filled by 8:30, and there was thousand of people lined up early.

We ate dinner at 4:00, which was great, we were still able to take advantage of the select seating, but had a few hours to do things before we needed to be at Oscar's. (and with kids we like to eat at off times).

Good luck...the dinner at H&V was so-so. I would try someplace else next time.

I was so glad I booked the package because we were able to walk right in. My boyfriend isn't fond of waiting in line .... I was also very tempted to buy some of the glow toys, but decided to save the money for other souveniers :)

Btw, did you happen to notice all the helicopters hovering above the show that night? I think I saw about 3-4 of them... I wonder if they were involved in a training exercise of some sort. I enjoyed the show so much I forgot to ask a CM about it at the end :p
