I am going to the World in July. Does anybody know why they are not taking reservations yet? Also...for those who have done it for lunch...do you like it better than dinner?

Try making the ADR by phone instead of online. There seems to frequently be a delay in loading these ADRs into the system. Otherwise, just be patient and check frequently.

Doesn't make much difference whether you do lunch or dinner- personal preference really. The menus are pretty much the same. I personally prefer my heavier meal later in the day, but some would rather have their main meal at lunch. To each his own.

I've been checking, too. Looks like they only have it loaded through end of May so I keep checking every morning. Same issue with Cape May. They only have it loaded through end of June. I had no problem getting all of our other ADRs (for 14 of us) but I'm still waiting on those.

I believe they open at 180 days like everything else, but for whatever reason, the web site doesn't reflect that. You should call.

Another thing you can try (worked for me last year) is going to the dinner packages section of the dining web site, and then manually entering the date you want including a zero - ex: 07/14/12. For whatever reason, when you manually enter the date using that leading zero, it would pull up availability. I had to do this for my last trip on my 180th day in March 2011, and it worked for me then.

I called an made mine reservation over the phone for June a month ago. I'm not sure why they are not online but, if you call in, you probably can do it without a problem. I would suggest trying as it is not available every night and I had to rearrage my plans once this came up

Thanks so much for this advice! I have been trying to make a June ADR for this. Adding the leading zero worked like a charm! Got exactly the date and time that I wanted.

I called today and they are still not taking Fantasmic Dinner reservations for the end of June and July. :sad2:

How far into July are you checking?? I had gotten F! ressies for June 22 on Christmas Day. I had to call due to them not being on the site. I had not thought of PP suggestion to manually enter the date. Good Luck!! :)

I have been calling and trying everyday since Jan 16 my 180 day mark. As of this morning, July was still not available. I plan on continuing to try, so if I get anything I'll be sure to post.

Definitely try doing as I suggested above by adding a leading zero on the web site. It's worked for some of the other posters in this thread, and worked for me last year :thumbsup2

Last trip we couldn't get Fantasmic package and dinner, so we did a late lunch. Worked out great for us. We ate, walked around for several hours then grabbed a snack and headed in for the show.

We opted to do lunch at Hollywood Brown Derby for the package. Ressies at 1pm left plenty of time in the morning and afternoon to do Hollywood Studios before the show, and we did not require a snack before the show because of the big meal. We had late dinner reservations after the show at 830 I think (this was in winter).
Planning next trip this December and will do the same routine.
