You can do that on the dining plan correct? Also I'm assuming that it is only 1 TS for Vine & dine and Mama Melrose and then the 2 TS for the signature dining at Brown derby? Has anyone done the Fantasmic Dinner Package. Was it nice to not have to wait? We'll be going in Sept. Thanks:cool1:

As for your questions about the dining plan, yes and yes.

I can't say anything about whether it's good to do, haven't even been to see Fantasmic in years. I do think I should mention that the dinners are early, between 3 and 5 pm usually.

I gave the Fantasmic dinner package a try and didn't think it was worth it. You still have to get there early to get a good seat.

Yep, 1 TS for H&V and MM, 2 TS for BD.

We just did it on our trip a couple weeks ago at MM. It was totally worth it! We got a 4:45pm reservation. By the time your food actually arrives and you're really eating, it's between 5-5:30. It was a very leisurely meal, we didn't feel rushed at all. We got out around 7 and it was perfect timing. We walked into Fantasmic and only had to wait about 10 min for the show to start. We didn't get center seats, but I don't think there are any bad seats. We could see everything. It was amazing to not have to wait in the line! It was well worth it imo. This is a must do for us now, if we want to see Fantasmic.

We've done the Fantasmic! dinner package at Mama Melrose three times, twice on the dining plan. It was very nice not having to wait.

The food was pretty decent, but we probably wouldn't have eaten there if it wasn't for the fact that we wanted to use the Fantasmic! dinner package.

Also, since you are doing the package, you get appetizer, entrée, and dessert, even though the DDP usually only gets you an entrée and dessert.

We have booked the Fantasmic package at H&V and BD. This year we are trying Mama Melrose. We didn't have to wait long to be seated and our seats were good. It works for us.

To be honest, we did the package this past september . We ate at the BD. The food was really good. However, there were PLENTY of seats, and we really could have done without the package. We were there the very last week of sept. if that helps.

For those of you who have been there recently, does the Fantasmic Dinner Package have a seperate entrance into the the theater?

We have done the dinner package in the past, and are doing it again this year. In the years in between the last package and this one we only watched Fantasmic once. We didn't like waiting in the line with the little ones.

We did F! Dining pkg with DDP / H&V in 2008 and were VERY VERY PLEASED with it...

We tend to visit WDW during the very busy times....

I have F! Dining pkg.... OOP / HBD booked for May and I am VERY much looking forward to it !

Hugs,
Mary

PS: As PP said... - Yes - separate entrance... this was what I was told for May's F! pkg..."Highland Gate enter near Beauty & Beast “Once upon a time” store"

We did the dinner package at Mama Melrose in 2008 and were pleased that we did it. The good and service at MM was quite good and the theatre was full that night for Fantasmic! so we were glad that we had the package. If we were to do it again we would go with Mama Melrose. We've had dinner at The Brown Derby. It was good but, in our opinion, not worth 2 credits if you're on the meal plan. We would never do Hollywood and Vine.

We did it last September & ate at MM - love MM anyway, but definitely excellent
value. We got to the theatre early & got really good seats but still had over an hour to wait for the show to start although it was so worth it, also the theatre was full so good to get here early if you can.

I think we're doing it in October again - if we can fit it in.

We just had this booked at Hollywood and Vine. I did not really enjoy the food there and we got bad rain that day so we did not end up staying for the show. We went a few days later for Fantasmic, got in line early and managed to get seats that we thought we much better then we would have gotten with the package. I personally wouldn't bother with the Fantasmic dinner package again.
