Fantasmic dinner package question

What happens if you book the Fantasmic dinner package and then Fantasmic gets cancelled for some reason? (bad weather for example)

My understanding is that you still have your ADR at the assigned time, pay the Fantasmic package price for your meal but don't get the ticket that allows you to get into Fantasmic using the special entrance. Anyone, please correct me if I'm wrong.

There is no additional charge for the package itself. However, the package, which includes a fixed price dinner and the Fantasmic! seating pass, MUST be guaranteed at the time of booking with a credit card, and a $10 cancellation fee applies if not cancelled at least 48 hours beforehand.

Prices for the fixed price dinners are as follows:

Brown Derby $46.99 adult/$11.99 child (3-9) (plus tax and gratuity). Adult meal includes appetizer, entree, dessert and non-specialty, non-alcoholic beverage. Children must order from Children's Menu, and have a choice of soup or salad, entree, dessert and child's beverage.

Mama Melrose $32.99 adult/$11.99 child (3-9) (plus tax and gratuity). Adult meal includes appetizer, entree, dessert and non-specialty, non-alcoholic beverage. Children must order from Children's Menu, and have a choice of soup or salad, entree, dessert and child's beverage.

The CM who did my ADRs didn't ask me for my credit card when I made my Fantasmic dining package ressies. Wonder if I should call back.....

Ohhhhhhhh I am SO glad I saw this thread. I called Disney Dining this morning to cancel a couple ressies and asked about why I wasn't asked for a credit card to hold my Fantasmic dinner package ressie. Turns out I didn't have the Fantasmic package; only the dining ressie. I got that fixed right away! Whew! I'd have been very upset when I got there and found out at the door that my ressie was for dining only

Ok, so it sounds like if we book the package and then later the day of our ressies the show gets cancelled, there is no compensation, we just miss the show. That would be a real bummer! Especially since they are cutting back on the shows so severely that we won't have a second chance to see it during our trip.

The chances that they wil cancel are pretty slim. It poured the night we were going and it wasn't cancelled. We, however, didn't want to sit in the rain so we lost $30 because we also didn't feel like walking all the way to H & V in the rain either. We went over tio animal kingdom lodge and had a wonderful meal.
