Fantasmic dinner package and EMH?

Wondering if anyone who has been to MGM for the evening extra magic hours and has gotten the Fantasmic dinner package can answer my question. The WDW site says that the park hours are 9am-7:30pm and that Fantasmic on the night in question is at 7:30pm (now I do know this is subject to change). They also have EMH that evening. My question is this...normally you would eat at your Fantasmic dinner restaurant prior to the show, get your voucher and then go watch fantasmic. Has anyone gotten their voucher, gone to see the show and been able to have a later seating at a restaurant after fantasmic due to the park hours being extended for EMH? (I also know that currently the point is moot for me because they only have bookings till like 6pm, but I know that later they will offer up later times.)

In our experience the restaurants are usually not open during extra hours. You may have to call and find out if your choice is open. Good luck!

I just made my ADRs for Mama Melrose. I was told that the Fantasmic show starts anytime between 7pm and 9pm, depending on the day.

I was told that no matter what time the show starts, the last dinner reservation they will accept as part of the package is 5:30pm. This basically means that on the nights of the 7pm shows you can eat and the show will immediately follow. On the other nights you're going to have a gap in between (and a potentially large one).

The night I booked for is an 8pm show and I have a 5:30pm ADR. I'm going to just eat a VERY leisurely dinner and then wait around for the show. Seems like too much effort to leave and then go right back.

Thanks for the replys. I called and spoke with dining and the latest available reservation for any of the restaurants at MGM on this day is 7pm. I know it is a different park, but I could have sworn that I had read somthing about certain Epcot restaurants being open during the evening EMH at Epcot, and was hoping the same applied to MGM. I just went ahead and booked it for 5pm, that way we will have time to get to the show.

Did you specifically ask for the Fantasmic Dinner Package or did you just ask for an ADR at the restaurant?

I was told that I could get the reservation at Mama Melrose for any time that I wanted, but the DINNER PACKAGE was only available until 5:30pm. If you make an ADR for the restaurant, but not the package, then you aren't guaranteed a seat for the show without waiting on the general admission line for 60-90 minutes.
