Hey folks looking for thoughts on fantasmic dining since mama melrose will likely be closed by our next trip. Got some picky eaters and brown derby will not work for our kids

Sci-fi-can you pay an adult price but get a kids meal?
Hollywood and vine-does the lunch/dinner buffet have picky eater friendly options?
50s-anyway to get the cast members to tone down the antics? Whispering canyon was very accommodating to our neurodivergent kids while keeping the atmosphere fun…the waiter slightly shifted gears as soon as he noticed the choice board so the kids were left laughing throughout without it being “too much” wondering if 50s operates the same.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts and happy holidays!

When is your next trip? Disney hasn’t announced a closure schedule yet and considering the glacial pace AK is going and MK shaping up not much better (needing to re-file a permit? Seriously? They’re too dumb to realize they need to negotiate with the govt now instead of expect rubber stamps on everything, that could be a very slow build out)

I expect we get another couple years out of Mama’s…

Have you been to Brown Derby recently? We always request a booth, and have always been accommodated, which is much quieter. When we were there in November, I saw our server being fabulous with a picky eater kid. They settled on grilled chicken with Mac and cheese, with the promise no food would touch any other food.

I have been assured that the CMs at 50's will tone it down if you ask, so we've gone ahead and booked there for our F! package. Fingers crossed!

If all goes well August 2025
