I'm assuming the 2nd show is less crowded, we will be there on a Sunday or Monday night beginning of August. We only want the 2nd show, and it looks like you can pick when you book the package. Just wondering how bad the viewing would be w/o the package. Thanks!

see you there Monday!

If Virtual Queue uses the old Fastpass viewing area, you're likely to be off to the side but still up against the water. I actually sometimes prefer these spots over the Dining package area because they're more likely to have everyone stand rather than everyone sit. Sitting means that the railing would block part of your view so I prefer standing in the first or second row.

Non-FP viewing will be further in the back. If you were planning to watch fireworks from Main Street, you wouldn't get here in time to have a good spot. Given that the Hungry Bear package isn't too expensive, I often recommend just getting that to avoid any hassle if seeing Fantasmic is a priority on any given day.

So funny, I was thinking the Hungry Bear would be the best option for us! And yes, we will be watching the fireworks first so thinking we should probably go with the package. We are going to try to get Blue Bayou for lunch (cheaper than dinner, lol) and could do the package with that, but don't want the 1st show assuming lunch get's the first showing of Fantasmic and dinner gets the 2nd? And it's already expensive enough, not sure what the prices for the package will be.

Has anyone confirmed that you can select which time you want when booking the Fantasmic Dining packages? Or are you required to only go with the showing given to you at the time? We prefer the 2nd showing for fewer people and just want to make sure if purchasing the package we can choose which time to attend.

As far as I understand it lunch packages give you the first show and dinner packages give you the 2nd one. For Hungry Bear and the Premium RBT packages it gives you the choice and says which show at time of booking.

Surprised by the Blue package as the dinner was the second package. I mean if I am paying 75+, I want that to be dinner and would think that section would fill quicker than paying that price for lunch. I know the menu is the same, but I have to think many are like me and look at lunch should be cheaper than dinner.

Tbh I don't particularly care that it's the same price since it's the same menu. Why would the food be cheaper if it's the same items? That makes no sense to me. If it was a simpler menu or something then I would agree the price needs to reflect that.

No, I get the pricing. Makes sense. I have always looked at lunch is the secondary meal and dinner as primary. Like I would rather eat the monte cristo sandwich at lunch and steak at dinner. Not the other way around if given the choice

That's fair, it's surprising tbh that they are using the same menu for both times. I suppose it's better for them if folks order the cheaper lunch items instead of the steak while still paying $90

I thought you got to pick which show you want when doing RBT standard.

You do. But the first show sells out at some point (reports vary day to day on exactly when this happens). I’d rather do River Belle for dinner but we’re doing it for lunch to make sure we get the first show.

Premium River Belle is the first show only (you are sitting at the restaurant to watch it).

Hungry Bear specifies which show it is when you book. I booked 6:30pm and it was still the first show. I think first show is cut off at 6:45pm for Hungry Bear.

River Belle standard you choose which show but first show sells out at some point in the day.

Yes, I booked early so that I could get the first show. I would love to do the second, but my daughter would never last that long.

Anyone have experience with River Belle standard or Hungry Bear and the second show? Are they combining the sections like they used to?

From what I can tell of watching the 2nd show from standby sections, they aren't combining sections. But River Belle Terrace area looked pretty empty. You could get a front row spot as little as 15 minutes before the show.
