Can anyone comment on how early you should arrive at the que to sit front row for the 1st show (9:00pm)?

we just did the second show and got there half hour before the show, having said that we moved back as sitting next to the railing kind of obstructed the view IMO. We had to look thru the railing which just wasn’t comfortable. We moved about 10’ back and found it much better. Food for thought. Have fun!

My advice don't go for the front row. Instead sit near the back.
Front gives you a nice view of the railing near the water. Everyone goes towards the front when the initially let in.

You should be fine arriving around at 815-820pm for a nice and better view in the back.

So two votes to stay back a bit. It’s not that far (like 15 feet) to the 1st wall. Maybe that’s the best. Here now, good day so far.

As long as there's not some shorties in your group, a few rows back is better as others have said. Sometimes we will allow the kids in our group and other small ones to sit in front of us; they have an easier time seeing between the railings... but I'm short in my torso, so I can't see when I'm sitting behind adults. I usually need to sit closer so I can actually see. Sitting behind kids is perfect for me!

I agree with this. I like F! from the back. If everyone was standing like at WOC, then I would want to be at the front.

I will be the contrarian who doesn't have a problem peering through the railing in the front row (no advice on first show timing, sorry!). But then again I'm short lol

Thanks for the feedback folks! It’s been a few years, but I remember feeling the heat from the flames being memorable and we have a first timer with us this trip. I’ll let her decide.

Jumping in to clarify, so you're sitting for the dining package area? And standing for other areas?

We've done all of the dining options for F! and surprisingly prefer the Hungry Bear's option. We sit at the back of the section to see over the railing each and every time. Our take on the other options: Blue Bayou, while the addition of wine is nice the food quality is not what we would like for this storied establishment, the seating section (ground seating) is only slightly more centered than HB. RBT preferred, awesome that you get a table and chair, but the view is poor even from the best tables in our opinion. They removed the heaters in 2019 so cooler evenings make it impossible to enjoy dinner outside this time of year. HB, while the food is not spectacular the options are better than the standard offerings (although we get the burger/fries on occasion as we are GF and it's the safest option), the flexibility of eating most anytime of the day and coming back for the show is nice too, the view is great, especially from the rear of the section.

We will be at the 1st show on Tuesday next week. My MIL has a scooter so we will be along the back of the HB section this trip!

p.s. bring a small blanket (I emphasize small for your immediate party to sit close together, you aren't at the beach...) to take the chill off of the ground. They used to give out foam cushions...ahh the old days 2018....
