Fantasmic as a dinner show...

Is this worth doing ...especially bearing in mind how busy the parks will be over the christmas holidays...On our visits to california we caught Fantasmic in its first year and it will be great top see it again but i cant work out from the reports exactly how the dinner package works....

Do you get a meal on a outdoor terrace whilst watching the show or do you take a meal then get admission to a special viewing area???

Fantasmic Dinner Package is a meal at either Hollywood & Vine (Buffet), Mama Melrose or Hollywood Brown Derby(set menu). You then get a ticket and enter through a different area than normal. Part of the stadium is for dinner package guests only.

We have just returned from Orlando,and we took the advantage of
the dinner package we had a 6.45 slot at the Hollywood & Vine &
the server issues you with your special admission ticket.However
Disney will always if you book early give you a 4pm slot,the latter
times are only sold at the last minute,the way to beat this is to take
the early time and keep trying for a latter time,then cancel the earlier
booking.

HI James,

I was hoping you could help - we have a 4pm slot booked at H&V as part of the Fantasmic Dinner package. We were worried that this was too early - Fantasmic has now been confirmed at 8:30pm. Or is this not really a problem as it will give us time to eat and have a wander around MGM studios before the show.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Can you tell me how to book the dinner package, can you do it on line or is it by telephone and am I too late for Aug 15-28??

booked the fantasmic dinner package twice last year, so good the first time that we booked it for the following week while in florida, so i dont think you will have a problem getting it for august, had table both times at hollywood and vine for around 3.45, was a great time for us as we really needed a break by then, also rain storms hit around this time and seemed difficult to get in anywhere to shelter without pre booking, having two DD,s 5 & 7 being able to see fantasmic without an enormous wait was amazing, both times we watched the 6.30 showing of beauty and the beast and headed over to fantasmic after that, bit of a walk from side enterance so in seats about 7.45, with only 45min wait, had great view both times and will be doing it again next year, if you have no children or perfect patient children, it might not be worth it but for us it definately was!
