Would we be able to see both of these in one night? Fantasmic starts at 7 and I don’t remember the exact time for the fireworks but it was some time after 8.

If that timing difference is true, you'll be OK to see both.

Cool!

That's 45 minutes after a 7PM Fantasmic! lets out.
How long does fantasmic usually last? I’m hoping we can get a same day FP for it. We are doing Epcot in the morning.

I just told you that in the answer you quoted. ;)

A 7PM F! ends at 7:30PM.
That's why an 8:15PM Star Wars show would start 45 min. after a 7PM F! would let out.

We just did both Wednesday. We were seated on the far left (facing the stage) at Fantasmic so it took us awhile to get out of the stadium. We had a fairly decent view with very little effort.

I'm going Easter week and there's only a 15 minute gap and we're big Star Wars fans. I guess we'll have to miss Fantasmic...kind of sad about that we've haven't been able to see it on either trip we've taken.

We like Star Wars, too, (and we like Disney fireworks) but Fantasmic! has far more "wide-range appeal" to our group.

Getting to sit in a theater for a half-hour show filled with a boatload (literally) of Disney characters (heroes and villains,)
myriad film clips, outstanding musical score, and a full-size fire breathing dragon...
THAT'S entertainment!

I’m hoping we can get a same day FP for it but if not we will wait. I’ve never seen fantasmic and it looks pretty cool plus my niece should like it. Dh likes Star Wars a lot so he will be happy that we can see the fireworks show also.

What a FP+ for F! offers is more CHOICE in seating.

If you DO get a F! FP+, you can choose to sit in either the FP section (virtually the entire left half of the theater) or the Standby section (virtually the entire right half of the theater.)

So, whatever section has the better seating at the time you arrive, you can go there.

Without a FP, you can only choose a seat in the Standby section.

There is a very good chance that you can get a FP+ for F! as a 4th or 5th FP of the day because they issue SO MANY of them (enough to cover nearly the entire left half of the seating.) On many nights, it is possible that you can gat a FP+ for F! as you are walking to the theater.

As to when to arrive at the theater, I'd get to there 45-60 minutes before the show-time.

Even with a FP or Dining Pkg. reservation, don't wait too late.

On busy nights, the CMs can stop holding the reserved sections within 20-30 minutes before show-time, and turn over any available seats to waiting walk-in guests.

Robo just curious where on your map is the dessert viewing area now. I believe it is where the hat was but I’m sketchy on the exact former hat location.
