Fantasmic Advice for February

This is our situation. 5 adults and two children (7 and 5) will be in the parks for 4 1/2 days. All adults have frequented Disney but this will be the kids' first time. None of us have ever experienced Fantasmic. I figure we should all go.

The kids' must-do event of the day is Jedi Training. This is priority #1. We were able to snag an 8 am ressie at H&V so that we can sign up PPO. The plan was to make this a Fantasmic package since they offer it for H&V breakfast, but it wasn't on the calendar yet at the 180 day mark, so we have a normal reservation there. Today I looked and I can get us lunch Fantasmic dining packages but no breakfast. We are not going to cancel our H&V breakfast since Jedi Training is a must-do and I REALLY didn't want two table service meals at HS.

So, how bad is the Fantasmic wait/line on a Monday night in February? It is Mardi Gras, but it is not coupled with Presidents day holidays this year, so its clocking in at a level 7. This is day 3 1/2 of our trip. Do you think its better to leave the park earlier, take time to nap/swim and then come back and deal with the regular line? Or should I suck it up, get a lunch reservation (1 pm), and probably have to stay the day because going back and froth from the hotel with only a 3 hour gap won't be worth it? Somehow neither of these options seems super appealing.... Should I just wing it the day of and decide then if its worth it to see the show at all? What do you guys think?

You can probably get it as a 4th Fast Pass. Yes, it's worth seeing.

I agree with pitpat, When you enter the line for FP#3, use the app and look for a Fant FP.

I’d take a break mid to late afternoon especially if you are able to choose a morning JTA. Return to the park with enough time to enter Fant during the return window. If you miss the window, you’ll enter the amphitheater with Standby guests who will fill in the FP seating area.

What is the normal return window? If its a 7pm show, about what time do we need to be there?

For a 7:00p Show, you’d need to be in by 6:35. The return window ends 25 minutes before showtime. For seating in the more central area of the FP section you should plan on being there by 6:15.

It's usually very easy to get as a 4th FP.

And whether you do standby, FP, or dining package, I'd recommend showing up about 45 min before showtime
