Day 6
We started the day with one of our favourite breakfast spots, Captains Grill with my good friend Jonette another past Disney Bride and moderator on DIS Weddings board. Jonette and her hubby moved from Texas to Florida a couple of years ago which means even though I don’t see her that often it’s more often than I’d see her if she were still in Texas. Captains Grill serves a la carte or you can have their buffet. Their buffet serves the exact same food you will find on the Cape May Café buffet but it’s almost half the price as no characters! We all had the buffet and it was cracking as usual, sorry no pics of breakfast today… bad Sammy!
Great chatties and catch up usual argument over the check ha-ha! It was pretty amazing how in such a short time together Jonette and I are always able to put the world according to Mickey to rights ha-ha!
After breakkie, Cinderfella and I went to meet Carol and Chuck so we could head to Epcot together they were staying at The Boardwalk so we met with them at International Gateway. We were concentrating on Future World today which is hard to do when you know all that scrummy food is there but Chuck isn’t great with the grazing so we were focussed on getting some attractions licked before lunch. Chuck and Cinderfella it seems were separated at birth so this sort of day whilst full of laughs can be a challenge for Carol and I as when Boys get Together… sigh!
We bumped into some of the rest of the Dreamers and had some chitty chatty in between rides. This morning we got Imagination with figment, Nemo and Ice Station Cool under our belts
Spaceship Earth was next and we let the boys ride together which wasn’t our wisest move but Carol and I had fun!
Then before we knew it, it was time to head to Italy for lunch…. Oh wow a good 3 meal day today!! We were lunching at Tutto Italia as Carol and I love the Antipasti appetizer for 2 so we had to do this!
Carol and I shared the amazing Antipasto and then we each had Eggplant Parmigiana from the appetizer menu.
Cinderfella went for the Calamari followed by the Spaghetti and meatballs
Chuck, I don’t think was in the mood for food he couldn’t decide on what to have so went for the Proscuitto di Parma followed by the Chicken Caesar
Following lunch we went to Mexico where we rode Gran Fiesta with Cinderfella moaning about how much he misses El Rio del Tiempo all the way through it… build a bridge!!!

I then took my first visit to La Cava del Tequila –
I went for the Blood Orange Margarita but I tried Carol’s Avocado Margartia and that was also delish!
Then it was back to the Land to use our Fast Passes for Soarin’
We did Living with the Land but I don’t know about you readers but I still miss not having the CM at the front of the boat telling us stuff!
The crowds were quite heavy due to Jersey week and Food and Wine coming to and end but finally we decided we were done and we all wanted a little rest back at our resorts so we headed out of the park after a quick group shot.
That night Cinderfella and I were dining with our Disneymooner pals without kidlets. Sadly Beth and Dennis couldn’t join us as one of their kidlets wasn’t feeling too great. Tonight we were celebrating Julie and Matt’s Wedding Anniversary they had honeymooned at The Cotemporary after their Disney Wedding so we were off to The California Grill. Scrumuoama meal as per usual – we got upstairs just in time for the fireworks so we all headed out onto the viewing decks. As per usual I got fixated with taking lots of pictures of Wishes which of course I already have plenty of and then it was at this point I realised I had not been charging my camera up grrrr Silly Sammy, I got a few shots though.
Dinner was enjoyable and Cinderfella had offered to drive us back so I was on the booze…. Yayyy cocktails and wine.. very nice too!
I can tell you that Kelly and I split the Dragon Roll - Spicy and Tataki tuna with shrimp tempura, bell pepper, avocado, and chili soy glaze with the California Roll.

Cinderfella had the pork appetizer followed by the Cast Iron-seared Bison - truffle mac & cheese, brussel sprouts, cipollini, smoked bacon, glace de viande

Kelly, who was on our bill and sitting the other side of me hence I remember, then chose the Grilled Pork Tenderloin and I went for the Snapper served on a risotto… the good thing about eating here way too many times than I recall is that I don’t feel the need to have the filet or the tenderloin!!

Cinderfella and I abstained from dessert, well we had eaten an awful lot already today and I just had coffee but Kelly went for the Goats Cheesecake… I want to say Mango?

It was a late night but an absolute pleasure spending it with some of my closest galpals in the world!
