Fanny Packs and Security Lines

Does one have to go through the security line at each of the parks when carrying only a fanny pack?

Yes, any and all packages must be opened including fanny packs, camera cases, backpackes, purses, bags from stores, ect...

I think they use a long stick to look into pockets & move things around.
