I can't believe that I am considering using a fanny pack..... I used to make fun of my parents for wearing them on vacation. Now a parent myself, I suddenly see the necessity for one now that DH and I are heading to WDW with 3yo DS. I am looking for a good pack for money, glasses, tickets, and perhaps room for a small camera. Does anyone have any recommendations on a good one and where I can find them? THANKS!!!

LOL - I totally understand! I just bought one a few weeks ago. I got it at Wal-Mart. Plenty of room for everything you listed, plus a drink/bottle holder

The one I use I actually got at Disney in the hotel store. This past trip I got a mini backpack at Target and used it to hold ponchos, books, wallet, camera, etc. It worked better for me.

I know how you feel!!! I only started wearing one to theme parks since my three year was born!!! I swear (sniff) I used to be cool...I have pictures to prove it!!!! :teeth:

Anyway, I just bought a great belt pack (tip - don't call them fanny packs....belt packs sounds "cooler") at Target. It has a great zipper pocket in the back for CC's and cash. And two larger pockets for cameras, glasses, etc... I paid $9.00 for it and they had a lot of color options.

Good luck!

I have a black one with Mickey on the front that I bought at the world of disney a few years back. I use it on vacation it sure is great not to worry about a purse.:wave2:

The target fanny packs  I mean belt packs were on sale for $8 this week. They are pretty roomy! Also, you may want to check out e-bags.com. They have pages and pages of belt packs to look at!:sunny:

LL Bean also has some nice ones.

If you're using a stroller, you might find a purse or backpack more convenient. We leave ours hanging on DS's wheelchair and just take it off when we go in rides or whatever.

I use a fanny pack type pin trading bag but I usually have to take it off to use the restroom comfortably.

Thank you! I decided to go with E-Bags. I purchased two bags (one for me and one for DH). DH's bag is big enough to hold our large Digital Camera and mine is big enough for our small digital camera and tour guide book. They have free shipping now and I am pleased with the prices. I can't wait to get them and start organizing :hyper: Thanks again for your help.

I feel your agony about the fanny pack. I purchased one at The Container Store. If you don't have one near you, you can visit their website.

This one actually is cool. It is microfiber and converts from a wallet, a purse and a fannypack. I love it. It is pricey but worth it to me. I can use it the whole trip - even adult only night out. It is nice and roomy but not bulky and even fits my camera. I purchased the smaller one for $34.99. The large one was too big of rmy needs. I will use it as my new wallet purse once we get home!!

Designed by an international flight attendant, The Wallet Bag is a compact microfiber bag that converts from a wallet to a shoulder bag or waist pack. The black microfiber is ultra-light, water-resistant, and exceptionally durable. Double zippers are made from handsome nickel. An adjustable shoulder strap and belt loops allow for use in a vertical or horizontal position. There's an exterior zippered pocket that's ideal for a boarding pass, cell phone, or map. Inside, there are three zippered and three open gusseted pockets. On one side, the open pocket features slots for ten credit cards; on the other side, there's a pocket sized to accommodate a passport. Two elastic loops accommodate a pen or a lipstick tube. When you need a little more space for all your daily and travel essentials, The Large Wallet Bag features the same thoughtful design and attributes as the standard Wallet Bag on a slightly bigger scale.
