Off to the Animal Kingdom today, to catch what we missed first time around, we set off at about 10.00, as much coffee was needed first after yesterdays drinkathon !

We get some photopasses by the tree, which I am glad about as I seem not to have taken any pictures of this tree for some reason.

First stop is Everest for fastpasses, and then onto the Safari, which was as fun as always, the lion was asleep though, has anyone ever seen him awake? From here we head to Festival of The Lion King which I love, and I have to disagree with Ian when he says he thinks Nemo is better. We have a wander around Camp Minnie Mickey, the little trees are great and all themed on different characters.

Time for a quick stop at the Dawa bar to gain courage as our Fastpass time is getting near, guess what I have - a margarita and Ian gets his usual rum runner, no more mojitos for him. I was nervous about Everest despite having ridden it last time, but I enjoyed it just as much as the second time, we never buy any of the ride photos, but we had to get this one, Ian is screaming like a girl, and I am waving my arms about, it is so funny, I will try and scan it for you to see.

After Everest we have lunch at Yak and Yeti counter service place again, as we enjoyed it so much last time, we share Shrimp Lo Mein and Crispy Honey Chicken, and it is as good as the previous visit.

We see Bugs Life and visit my favourite the tigers, before finding a spot for the parade, I enjoyed it, but probably my least favourite.

We head back to Saratoga, and have a few drinks and a lounge about, alternating between the balcony and watching drivel on telly, much of what we find ourselves watching on holidays is rubbish but for some reason strangely addictive. Our reservation for Yachtsman steakhouse was for 7.00pm but we were still quite full from lunch, so I decide to call and see it there was anything later, I thought this would be a total waste of time, but result they have 8.40 available, so I book this and we spend a bit longer relaxing.

We catch a bus from Downtown Disney to The Yacht Club, and get some photos of the tree,

I was really excited about this meal, it was my equivalent of Ians Blue Zoo and it didn't disappoint.

We had a great waiter, who didn't rush us, saw to what we needed but wasn 't constantly back and forth, he was a star. Ian started with the Seared Maine Diver Scallops, and I had the Lobster Bisque, followed by Yachtsman Filet Mignon - 8 ounce filet served with mashed potatoes and a red wine sauce for Ian and New York Strip Steak - 12 oz. strip steak, served with peppercorn brandy sauce and potato gratin with Diamond white cheddar for me. Dessert was Creme Brulee and I had one of the year of a million dreams desserts Strawberries in grand marnier, we washed all of this down with a bottle of chardonnay, and two expressos to finish. Oh, I nearly forgot the bread, how could I, they serve it with butter and a little pot of garlic and you add as much of the garlic to the butter as you like, our waiter advised that if one of us was eating it we both should:lmao:

This was probably the best meal I have ever had, everything was wonderful and the setting was perfect, we even debated going back later in the holiday. It is definately on the list for next year.

We took a little wander over to The Beach Club for a nose about before catching the bus to Downtown Disney and then to Saratoga.

I'm so glad you loved it, Jules - it's definitely my fave WDW restaurant as I love the food and the atmosphere!!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 I also love the adjacent bar... ;) Gorgeous food porn pics - I'm sure I had the same starter and main course as Ian... :lovestruc :lovestruc :lovestruc

Good day Jules. I have also been sat near someone screaming like a girl on EE - step forward Mr K Stringer:lmao:

Glad you enjoyed Yachtsmans, we did this last August for the first time and really enjoyed it, it is a lovely restaurant and a pretty decent steak. A little disappointed Ian didn't go for something a little more manly - the rib-eye and porterhouse are more a man sized portion surely:confused3 ;) Maybe he was still a little scared after his ride on EE:confused3 :scared1:

That's the beauty of doing WDW as a couple (or any holiday for that matter). As much as we enjoy travelling with friends and relatives, it's always a compromise for everyone involved. In some ways it's a good thing because you're forced to get on with things which you might otherwise talk yourselves out of, but Matt and I are looking forward to November and doing exactly what we like, when we like (or just doing nothing, chilling out and watching drivel on TV).

We're planning on doing Yachtsman Steakhouse again in November. I must remember to order the New York Strip (I'm usually a filet mignon girl) - seeing your photos reminded me of the food envy I had when Georgia's order arrived. Then again, I am food envy queen! :rotfl:

fantastic photos and especially the food ones

Happy to see the continuation of your trip report when I checked this afternoon. Each installment has been a joy to read. You are doing a wonderful job with both words and pictures. Thank you. Thank you.

Another great day with fab photos, the food looks delicious:thumbsup2

Another lovely day. Thanks for sharing all the pics of the decorations in Animal Kingdom. The Yachtsman Steakhouse looks really nice, glad you were able to get a later reservation.

Laur's princess:

ummm...... and how does one vomit femininely?

One drinks copious amounts of red wine, dances on the table exposing ones knickers to one and all before retiring to stick ones head into the toilet, all the while expecting back rubs and sympathy from the long suffering male partner.
Or so I've heard. ;)
