Is is possible to ask for an exchange on used shoes. I bought two pairs of inexpensive dress shoes for work. I got them when it was buy one get one half off. It was like a total of $70 for both. Both of them have had the sole tear away from the top of the shoe now in less than 2 months of use. This has to be a poor design, right? What are the odds of me being able to get an exchange for one or both of these pairs of shoes do you think? Am I crazy for even asking for an exchange? I know shoes are probably once you wear them there yours.

Last year my DD had a pair of boots from Famous Footwear that she wore quite a bit for about a month or so. The zipper broke and they exchanged them for a new pair for us. It's worth a try.

I would definitely try on the grounds they are defective.

I tried today but the lady told me it was too far back. I thought I had bought them both in October but it was August of last year. Each pair has only lasted me about 2+ months. She offered me a 20% discount on a new pair shoes today and also said that I might contact the manufacturer. She also said that if it were in October she might have been able to do the exchange. She was nice and I said I would try to contact the shoe company themselves. I went home and sent email to the company. I wonder if they will reply? Time to wait and see.
