DS and DDIL had both enjoyed last nights movie
and were having a bit of a lazy morning. We thought we would go over to the Prime Outlet at LBV as DS and DDIL were going to need to buy another case to get everything home. After having a look around and not finding what they needed we drove over to the Wal- Mart on Sand Lake Road. Whilst we were in there DW picked up some things for our 2 granddaughters. Its surprising how quickly time goes in there. On the way back to POR we stopped off at the Red Lobster in crossroads. After lunch we popped into Goodings to get some Jelly Bellies and Hershey Kisses.
While we were in the car park I found a CM's name badge Robin from Stroudsburg,PA. As we were going to MGM later on I thought I would just hand it in at guest services there.
After we droppped of the suitcase DS had bought and our shopping at the hotel we caught the bus over to MGM. When we got there we went straight to the Lights Motors Action Extreme Stunts show.
It was just starting as we found a seat. After this show we went to the Muppets 3D and Indiana Jones was next, we got a really good seat.Always enjoy this show. When we came out we trooped in to Star Tours, It has been a good few years since I had been on this ride as DW does not like it. We decided to take the Backlot Tour next. As we entered a CM asked us if we would volunteer to act in the P.T. boat scene. (I have always wanted to do this )
I said yes and got DS roped in as well. We were taken through to get ready and DW and DDIL were taken to the viewing area. As we were getting ready we were joined by the third member of the scene. She had not seen the show before so the CM gave her the Mechanics job in the wheelhouse. I said to DS "'I'll be the Captain"
he was the crew member. The poor girl did not know about the wall of water that would hit her and her look of astonishment was hilarious. DS and I hammed it up, dodging bullets and torpedoes, not getting as wet as the mechanic. (Although we were already wet as the suits they gave us were still wet from the previous show.)
DW videoed it but was laughing so much the camera was shaking, after we got changed we carried on to the tram part of the tour. As DS and DDIL got slightly wet on this more laughter from her. After this we went to Backlot Express for a snack and coffee, before going around to the Great Movie Ride. We got the gangster. Going around to the RRC we stopped to watch the street entertainers for a while. After we had ridden RRC we were handily placed for the queue for Fantasmic. When we entered Hollywood Bowl we managed to get some really good seats, right in the centre, near the top and on the aisle, handy for the cotton candy sellers. This is a brilliant show and DS and DDIL really enjoyed it,well worth waiting in the queue and then sitting for a while to watch. Even though MK was open late and though we had planned on going over we decided to leave MGM and make our way back to POR when the crowds had thinned out.
