Family with 5yr twins for 2 days at DL - plan help

We bought 2 day -1 park tickets. I plan to spend both days at DL.

I reviewed FP Encyclopedia, 7 out of 8 rides my kids can ride (Not IJA), plus the new fantasmic (this is not connected, I can get FP without affectin my other FP, right?).

Can anyone tell me which FP is most popular? I heard splash mt (but now it is winter, will kids get wet?).

Will it be possible for us to complete 4 per day plus other attactions?

any recommended plan? Thanks for your help.

Finally, is there a FROZEN in the park? My twin girl and boy will love to meet them. thanks.

I believe Frozen had or will be moving to C/A with a Fast pass.

4per day ? 4 fast passes or 4 rides?
Yes you will be able to do more than 4 rides per day. plus other attractions.. although D/L is mostly rides..
I would recommend going to Toms island to let your kids run free for a bit..
have plenty of snacks.
and something that they enjoy to play with while waiting in lines..
Splash mountain it will depend on where you sit. as you how wet you will get.. in front you will get wet.. I have sat in the back and got the whole one side of me wet..

The rides in Fantasy land get long lines very early and stay long for the day..

Toon town is fun.. we always start at toontown . and get our Mickey and Minnie photos at their house then straight to Pluto and Goofy. then play in toon town for a while... then walk our way back to the front of the park..

I would do a full ride of the train.. its a good way to rest . and see the park

the princess faire is wonderful if your kids are into princesses.

they have a petting zoo, my son always wants to spend time there . and they have a Jamboree area just near the zoo, it can have meet and greets there.. we have seen the Easter Bunny and one year all the old characters that they tend not to bring out anymore..

Seeing that you only have two days.. (but without know what time you are going) I would say take your time , you will not get everything done.. its impossible.. even with 5 days and older kids..
make a list of what your kids want to do.. get a map of the park (on Disney web site) so you know where everything is and map out which way you will do the park so you are not back tracking.. if you are going at a slow time know what refurbs are have .. and on slow days you may not need fast passes..

* Yes, the Fantasmic FPs are not connected and you can get others during the day

* I don't know what FPs are the most popular but I would assume they are (in no particular order) Space, Splash, Big Thunder, Indiana Jones, maybe Star Tours?

* As PP said, there are a lot of kid/family friendly rides that don't have FPs, all of the rides in Fantasyland included! If you want to do those, the early the better. Take advantage of Early Magic Hours if you are staying at one of Disney's hotels!

* Really up to you and your family how much you can get down. As PP said, its impossible to get everything you want to see done! Enjoy and don't stress about it

* When are you going? From 1/7 on there is Frozen Fun but it is only taking place at California Adventure, if you are willing to spend 1 day there! At Disneyland, there is a mini version of Arendelle at the Storybook Canal!

It depends when you are going. There are some refurbs coming up in the new year (Matterhorn and Splash to name a few).
It also depends if its during busy times (xmas, spring break, summer) expect longer lines.

From what I understand Anna and Elsa are now over in DCA.....I have no idea if they are still in DL also?! Maybe someone else can give that answer for a fact!

As for how much you can get done, it will depend. What I can guarantee is you will not run out of things to do and see. I agree with going over the map and deciding what are your must haves, make a loose plan for those and then just go with the flow.

Count on getting very wet on Splash. If you don't that's nice but you don't want to be surprised because you were betting your shoes wouldn't get soaked and they did (which is possible no matter where you sit!). Frozen meets in DCA now, but Arendelle has been added to the storybook canal boats. There's a lot of fun for kids to be found in toontown & fantasyland. There is a Winnie the Pooh ride too, but note it is Critterland by Splash.

How much can you do? It all depends on when are you going. Holiday time? Not much, let's be real, parks are getting busy now. Jan-Apr? Lots of refurbs rumored to be coming down the pike, but low crowds so you'll get more done but limited options due to refurb closures. Oh- Autotopia is great for kids! (Although the gas peddle is ridiculous and you'll likely have to push it for them.)

Thanks for all replies. We will be visting the DL this weekend (27 and 28). Both days might be very crowded. It appears we may have to miss Frozen as it is now at DCA. I think we want to stick to DL due to 2 days plan.

Any recomendation for food/dining? I was thinking about 7:30 am earliest 7:10 am)Plaza Inn for character meal but am worry it is still too early for kids and lose park time (open at 8 am). Any thoughts? Should we have dinnr at our arrival night at the goofy's kitchen instead(I heard there is change in characters in GK).

- I would suggest upgrading to a park hopper. just in order to see CARSland and the new Frozen area.

Looks like there are reservations for the Plaza Inn for breakfast on your first day! You would definitely lose park time, so it is really up to you and your family. Carnation Cafe is also on Main St. and isn't a character meal so that may make breakfast a bit faster if that is what you're worried about! Character dinners are at Goofy's Kitchen (DL Hotel), PCH Grill (Paradise Pier), Storyteller's Cafe (Grand), and Ariel's Grotto (CA Adventure). I'm not sure which characters are there, you could always give a restaurant a call and ask who is there. There maybe some changes to what characters will be there but it doesn't hurt to ask! Since it'll be a busy few days you are there, I'd recommend making reservations ASAP!

I would also recommend upgrading if possible. Maybe you could upgrade only 1 day to Park Hopper?

I'm guessing that by DAV you are talking about California Adventures? If so, then at 42 inches tall your kids can ride everything at CA with the exception of California Screamin'. Even if they are not quite 42 inches, there is still a ton there they can do.

Agree with Aladora-at 42inches, the only ride they can't do in DCA is Screaming. In DL, they can't ride IJA (Indiana Jones). My twins have celebrated their 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and this year, their 5th birthday at DLR, so I've been keeping track of the height requirements. They didn't ride TOT last yr at age 4, even though they met the 40 in requirement--we were afraid it might be too intense for them, but this yr at age 5, they really enjoyed it! And Goofy's Sky School oddly has a higher requirement of 42in. I would really go with 2d hoppers rather than 1 park per day for 2days. If one park gets crowded, then hop to the other one. Though my husband has been known to park hop just to get to the food he was craving, so perhaps our family is not the norm ;-)

And if you haven't checked it out yet, https://disneyland.disney.go.com/attractions/ shows all the attractions, and you can filter them based on age group, height, Fastpass, etc. It might make it easier to keep track of things

Honestly, for 5 yr olds, they would LOVE CA and many rides will have shorter waits! My 5 yr old loved Bugs Life area and the lines are much shorter than most. You can get thru all of them and see the little movie they offer which is 9 min long.
The Ferris wheel line for non swinging cars is usually shorter too. the Little Mermaid ride is one of my faves and always has short lines too.
I think you'll get more bang for your buck in one day at CA.
Kids get so worn out that if you plan on going 8-2, then rest for a few hrs back at the hotel, it will be less crowded in the evening after 6 pm or so, esp at CA.
But you are going at the peak time of the year so as long as you expect the crowds and go with the flow, it will work out great. Don't push the kids, follow their cues and definitely takes breaks when needed. Stay hydrated! Nothing worse than getting sick at Disney because you got dehydrated! I know, I've done it before.

Like others have said, I think you should do one day at CA. For five year olds, they'll love everything in Bugs Land. Plus there is the Wilderness Explorer trail for little kids, and the Aladdin show! Not all of the Frozen stuff in CA is running yet, but they can definitely meet Elsa and Anna (get fastpasses when you go in); Olaf is there as well but is harder to see at this point. Monsters Inc is another fun one that doesn't usually have too long of a wait. Disney Junior on stage, etc. I think you'll have a blast!
