Dh said in the beginning I could go alone as long as they met me later to go on a cruise, turns out he wants to save the money because his job is kind of unstable, then just tonight he told me that I was robbed in Orlando in 1993 and he won't let me go alone ( as if he could help me there ) but he lets me go to Spain with the kids, go figure!
Now it turns out we will all be driving that week to WDW and they will be with me. My question is....are children allowed to go with parents when we do the non food involved activities?? how does that go?? do we have to find babysitting?? can we bring them along? help from those of you who did that last year please!!! Now I'm really confused!!!

Hi Kanga.. I am not exactly sure what you mean here, but I will try to do my best.. Of course they can come to mini meets, if we do them again, and other official events such as opening reception, breakfast with characters, etc.. thrill ride tour, which was a mini meet..but the Jellyrolls meet was in a bar that you have to be 21 to get into.. Karaoke, I did see children there, so I think even though it is a bar/restaurant and very smokey, they can come to that... Keys to the Kingdom tour was an extra that we did..I am not sure if there was an age limit on that, for some reason I am thinking there was..

Of course, this is providing that for official events you get a package for events for ALL of you, children have to have their own tickets as well.......or if you take the all inclusive which is hotel and package for all of you again and then you need tickets to get into the park.. if you have any other questions, let us know..

PS....Glo just informed me that to attend Keys to Kingdom you had to be 12 years old and of course purchase your own ticket to that as well..

what I mean is...I know on the character breakfast and things like that children are not allowed unless they pay but say like you guys had the two hours at the TOT meet....or the special spot to see iluminations....do kids have to get the package to be able to go too?? Not that I am saying my kids are going to go because God knows I'm going to try to get out of that and more than likely will succeed and go alone but if that wasn't the case, would I have to pay for them?? just wondering because I want to prepare myself.

Kanga, the two hours on TOT and the Illuminations and Fantasmic things were exclusively for DIS Con convention goers. You had to have the lanyard on to go to the events whether you were a child or an adult. At both the Illuminations and the Fantasmic events we had dessert, so .....I think they need to have tickets to go.

Glo elaborated very nicely.. but the bottom line is to attend Convention events...you must purchase an event ticket.. children, adults alike.. :)

Nothing to add, just wanted to say Hi to my buddy, Kanga!! :)

thanks for the answers , that's what I needed to know....not that I am saying they will go with me but I wanted to know before I opened my mouth with them. Thanks ladies....and hello Beanie!!!!! are you ready????

I just wanted to add something about the "Keys to the Kingdom" tour. When we went in the summer of 2000, you had to be 16 . My DS, Jared, was 15 1/2 and bummed! He wanted us to lie about his age, so he could go. I told him to just wait until the next trip when he'd be old enough, and could pay for it himself!:p
So, unless it's changed since then, you need to be 16 for that tour, which my DH and I really enjoyed, by the way!!:) :)

Thanks Debbie.. I think we all need to go over now and smack Glo around.. didn't she say it was 12??? LOLOLOL...

It was a good thing for Glo there wasn't a height restriction instead of an age Restriction :D :D

Glo, just remember you know I love you :)

Yeah, Marsha! Where did she get 12 anyway??? Did she just make it up, or was it because she looks 12 and they let her in?! :D :D heehee j/k, Glo, sweetie!!:)

er....um...I said I thought it was 12. I did not say it was written in stone anywhere. GEEEZ!!!

Now about looking twelve well next to all you oldies of course I look young!!!
Pat you are just jealous that I am so sweet and innocent! You have to attack my petiteness. :)

Now Ms. Mackey, you be nice or I will make your computer sick! I am already green with envy today because of you....lol
