family walking in aids walk and walk for diabetes

Does anyone have any ideas for my kids to help raise money for these walks? The aids walk is at the end of Sept and the walk for diabetes is in OCT.

Sorry I though that I was posting this in the WISH section and not the journals. If someone knows how to move me please do. Or if you know how please tell me so I can do it.

Do they have the opportunity to collect recycled aluminum cans and turn them in for some cash (won't be a lot but every bit helps)?

Could they do some chores for some family members that might be close to earn some money?

How about a neighborhood car wash?

Can they set up a "snack stand" in the neighborhood to earn some money - go get some chips/snacks/make lemonade from like Sam's or something like that and sell them for $.50 a piece or donation?

How about a garage sale and they set a can up asking for donations?

Just a few ideas for you. It all depends on how much money they want to earn.
