My Bro (also DVC owner) and I are taking our families "Home" in November to BWV. Also bringing other Bro's family (non-DVC) and mother and father. In all, 8 adults five kids ages 5,41/2,4,3,2!!! WOW...I hope we have enough adults for all these little ones! Any suggestions for dining options for our LARGE PARTY?? Thanks

p.s. my 1st Thread after finding the forum a few weeks ago!! :) :) :) :) :)

check out the dining thread. I saw a lenghty post and replies for groups as large as 25 recently.

Good luck

How about Spoodles? Also, there is that clambake at the Beach Club every night...that might be good for such a large party :)

we were there as a family last April with 13 of us for DM's 65th bday and had dinner at the GF. We had the buffet as it made more sense for the littler ones and there was still a more "mature" collection for us. I did make PS arrangements in advance. We stayed at the BW as we will again when we go "home" for Thanksgiving and had no problem getting tables togather at the brew pub on a few occasions.
Having a Turkey dinner by the quiet pool from Publix this Thanksgiving with 14 of us!

Welcome!
We are doing our third big family Thanksgiving trip. 10 adults and 5 kids, ages 4y to 11 months. We have eaten dinner as a group at Fulton's, Cape May and Mama Melrose's. Had a great breakfast at Donald's Breakfastasaurus. We also order a Turkey dinner from Publix. We are planning more late lunches this trip. Love the kitchen, we have lots of sandwich fixings and snacks.
Have a great trip.

Great! How did you find the dinner from Publix? We did the HH Thanksgiving thing already and loved the dinner they did for us. I did look into a caterer and thought the kids would like a traditional meal much better. My nephew is autistic so the simpler the better! Just give that boy massheed potatoes and some meat and we are back in the MK riding Buzz Lightyear over and over again! We are also plannining on using the grill while at Home this time as we love our BBQ and clean up is as they say on the Reynold's commercial a breeze!

Hope to see ya there!

We always enough a trip to Chef Mickey's....last group we took had 29 people........

One year Disney catered T'day dinner, it was not done by Olivia's but an outside vendor and it was great. The next time they did not offer it so we went the Publix route. They had two sizes for the dinner. I think it was based on the weight of the turkey. It included the turkey, gravy, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, stuffing and green beans. They offered other sides for purchase. The lady at publix talked my DH into buying the sweet potato casserole and it was delicious. We added rolls, squash and desserts. We are planning on it again.
If you do the dinner don't forget to bring/buy foil or storage bags for the leftovers.
