Cooler today, but a lot of sunshine! DS, DDIL, and kids out early to MGM. OP and DD and DSIL hang around GV doing laundry, resting, just puttering around. OP travel by bus to MGM to pick up pictures which were not ready before. Then by bus to TTC and monorail to MK for pictures there. Found a sunny corner and had a snack from the bakery and watch the afternoon parade go by. Bus back to OKW. Then car to BW and walk to Epcot for dinner in Morocco. Very good. DS and family ate dinner at Spoodles after very busy day at MGM and Epcot. They did Soarin again just love it. DD and DSIL were also at Epcot in the evening and ate dinner at Tangerine (Morocco, too.)
Thursday, January 26
Slow morning for all of us. Cold but very sunny! DS is suffering from an attack of gout and his medicine has run out. He has a call into the doctor for a refill. So, while we waited for something in that area to transpire, we ordered pizza from Unos. GPA and DS made the short trip to pick it up and we had a delicious lunch. A decision was made for miniature golf at Fantasia. And transportation logistics called for two trips with the car. DDIL and two kids and I in first trip. Kids had a great time running around the area while we waited for the others. And on to the game. Such a clever course and all had a great time playing. And then GPA ferried the group back. By this time prescription for DS was ready at Walgreens, so GPA, DS and I went over there, got the prescription and stopped at Publix for some refills. Rest of kids went to the pool. Then it was everyone onto the bus for dinner at the Earl of Sandwich in Downtown Disney. Did some shopping after eating and then the bus back to GV. Then it was a game of Uno for some of us. Another good day!
We all really like the EOS. Food is fresh and sandwiches are good and there is a great variety, including salads, etc. Even when busy there always seems to be a table to sit at and if weather is nice, you can sit outside. We discovered it when we were at WDW in June with Jeanie and Alan and told family it was a good place to go to eat reasonably and fast.
Friday, January 28
Another slow morning. Cool, but sunny again. Suppposed to warm up considerably. Breakfast and a quick bite for lunch in the GV. DS, DDIL and kids off to Epcot for the day. We plan to join up later as DD and DDIL have appointments for make-overs at Guerlain in France. And once they are beautiful (like gilding a lily) then it is on to Alfredos for dinner.
So DD, DSIL and OP drive over to BW and walk into Epcot. The other group is busy doing the Kidcot stops all around the world. We call and say we will meet DDIL at Guerlain. And the makeovers commence. As I said gilding the lily in both cases as they are two very beautiful young women. But, of course, they look so glamorous when finished. Pictures taken and then we proceed into the American Experience, which we have not done in a long time. Still a good show and makes you proud. Also a good place for a quick nap. On to Alfredos. (As the sun goes down is gets downright chilly, but at least we seem to be dressed warmly enough). We had a nice round table in the middle of the main room. Everyone enjoyed their meal and we had nice servers, etc. Decided to have dessert in Norway those sweet pretzels are just the thing. After our short stop to enjoy the sweets, we travel on (w/stroller) to do HISTA. DGS had not done this before, nor had DGD. They loved it. So much fun to see their surprise when the mice run through the audience. And getting wet when the dog sneezes. Into the Imagination display and playing around with the fun computer programs. OP took car back to GV. YP walked through and took the bus.
