DS, DDIL and kids up early and off to Animal Kingdom. DD, DSIL and the OP sleep in some and after breakfast the OP drive over to AK to meet DS, etc. DD, DSIL decide on pool time. Yes, it is another very nice day! With the use of cell phone technology, the OP meet up with DS, etc. They have done many things while there, including the Safari Adventure, the petting place and I am not sure what else. We head over to Dinoland, where the children enter the playground area and have such a good time. Some cute pictures from that.

Then we decide to go over to the Dinosaur attraction. And DS, DDIL, DGD and I decide to ride. Never done it before. I understand it is intense. Needless to say, it is intense and DGD HATES it! We buy her a ride pin for her lanyard to soothe the trauma. After that it is decided that we will have some lunch at Restarantosaurus where it is chicken fingers, burgers, FF, etc. Good place to relax. It is decided that we will ride the Kali River Rapids. But not all want to get wet. DS, DGS, DGD and I venture into the line and sure enough – we get wet. GPA takes the wet little ones and DDIL back to the GV in the car and DS and I ride the bus. We are wet but happy.

After drying off, the OP take car over to BW and decide to eat dinner at the Brewery on the boardwalk. Great night for being outside and watching the people. Nice dinner – and just so relaxed. DD and DSIL eat in Mexico and I am not sure where the rest ate – although I remember something about leftovers. Once we are in Epcot we meet up with everyone from our group via cell and look to see if there are are still FPs available to Soarin’. Yes! So, we get them and decide to get some dessert in the Food Court of the Land while we wait for our FP time.

We all love Soarin’ – except for GPA! He had ridden it once before -- last June with Jeanie and Alan and did not like it then, but went once more this time and kept his eyes shut the whole time. But everyone else just LOVED it.

Some notes on rides/attractions – Buzz Lightyear was closed. Test Track was closed. The paddlewheeler was not running. The first two were real downers for us, but we did not miss the paddle wheeler.
We wandered around a little more, but GPA said he would take whoever wanted to go back with him in the car. DGD and GPA left at that point and the rest of us stayed to watch Illuminations. I even took some video with my digital camera. What a little miracle they are. After the show we made our way to the bus stop for the ride back to GV. When we got back GPA had very nicely gotten DGD ready for bed, given medicine, bath, etc. What a great GPA! A very nice day!

Tuesday, January 24 –

Today is our day for brunch at Chef Mickey’s. And since we don’t all fit into the car we leave at about 10:30 to allow us enough time to make the necessary transfer at the TTC. First bus that comes is MK and we hop on and then onto the monorail for our short trip to the Contemporary. We have our picture taken and the one with the two grandchildren turns out so well, as does the group shot (for the most part). Brunch proceeds with much laughter and picture-taking and even a little video. The breakfast food is so very good and plentiful and the characters industriously make their rounds of the tables and everyone gets up to sing, dance and twirl their napkins during the “Celebration” song. We have a lot of fun with all of this and also eat a really delicious meal.

After brunch we head over to MK, where we all go our separate ways and keep in touch with cell phones. OP do – the train, Jungle Cruise, Tiki Birds, ate some snacks on a comfortable bench and watch the afternoon parade and then watch Cinderellabration on the castle stage. The YP are busy doing their thing and at some point make their way over to where we are sitting. We decide on eating at Pecos Bill’s over in Frontierland. Half of our group opts to leave at this point with, DS, DGS, GPA and I staying to ride Haunted Mansion which DGS really likes and it is a repeat for him. Then it is on to Swiss Family Robinson which affords a most beautiful view of the park after dark. Back down Main Street and just a glimpse of the fireworks while we wait for our bus. And back for the night.

Day 8 coming up!

I don't know why you call yourselves OP. OP couldn't do all that you do in a day at Disney World!
