Wednesday 12th.
The good weather was still holding shorts and t shirts were the dress of the day. We piled into the car and were on our way to Universal. We were soon parking and making our way along the moving pavement to the Universal entrance. Once inside we went straight to MIB and met the first surly member of staff, what an attitude this guy had. After this encounter we went over to Jaws, it was a bit slow moving this morning but it was not to long before we were seated. We were right at the front of the boat :boat: so we only got a few splashes on this one. The captain was enthusiastic and DDIL laughed all the way round.
The Mummy was next on the list, once again the line was not long but very slow moving.DW sat this one out. We thought it was good, coming off down the ramp DS mentioned it was the same one they used for Kong. Yes nothing gets wasted, recycling what ever they can. As we came out of the shop The Blues Brothers were just starting a performance so we watched them before going round to Shrek :3dglasses DDIL thought this was really good and laughed at all the jokes. :rotfl: After Shrek it was time to see Arnie, we like this one a lot and DDIL thought the inter mix of live actors and 3D film was well done. :yay: Lunchtime, we skipped Mels Diner and went to the The International Film and Food Festival where we ate outside, still hot
Back down to ET, DS and I always used to give silly names and this year was no exception, of course we got told off (again ). The Horror Make-up Show was next :scared1: and yet another jobsworth here, there were only about 2 dozen people in the foyer and when we went in to the show she's shouting " All the way to the end of the row " she kept repeating this. When the show started the presenter came out looked at us and said "Well I see you've spread yourselves out " After this we went to the Studio Shop on the way out we were stopped and DS was asked to do a survey about his day in the park he mentioned the surly staff more than once we don't know if anything will come of this but never mind DS felt better having someone to complain to. We wandered off toward IOA, stopping off at the Hard Rock shop for another guitar pin for DW and a Guardian Angel Bear that she had to have ( its for charity ) ;)
None of us were really in the mood for stomach turning, gut wrenching, upside down roller coasting this afternoon  so we went over to Spiderman excellent, a real favourite. When we exited the ride the Superheroes were outside, posing for photographs. Spidey of course you had to pay to have your photograph take with. Another backward step IMHO.
We strolled around the park as dusk fell,in Zeuss landing we noticed that the High In The Sky Trolley Train Ride was finally open. They seemed to have been bulding this for years. Even though its just for kids we had to go on it.
We were starting to feel hungry again and the Virgin free meal voucher was burning a hole in my pocket. As you may know you get a choice of venues now. We chose Pat O'briens, it was very good. We hadn't eaten there before but will definately go back again.:thumbsup2
On our way back to POR we called in at the new Wal-Mart on Sand Lake Road, just for a look came out about an hour later not having seen half of it,we will have to return for a better look later. A quiet drink in the lounge bar rounded off a good day. :goodvibes

another busy day:goodvibes

Again you seemed to pack a lot in your day and sounds like you finished it off with a great meal. Perfect

I was sorry to hear about your experience with USF - we used to find it like this but think that their customer service has increased immensely in the last couple of years. We were told to sit wherever we liked when we went to the Horror Makeup Show.

I can't believe you have to pay for Spidey pics now either, that is totally out of order. It's such a shame to deny people this opportunity too - Spidey is one of the best characters I have ever had a piccie with.
