Looking for a suite for 5 adults and 3 kids. Just wondering if its possible, and what places have suites. Any idea on daily rates in Sept. Thanks all. Any info is much appreciated.:banana:

When I was researching for our trip, I found that Park Vue has suites that sleep 7, Desert Inn and Suites (where I made our reservation) sleeps 8 (or more).

A lot has to do with whether people will bunk up or not.

For us, having 2 bathrooms is a HUGE plus so we love the kids suites at Hojo's. You can also apparently get a Junior King Suite online at Best Western Park Place in with 2 King beds, and 2 sofa beds, and 2 bathrooms. Hojo's is a lot nicer IMO because it just seems more bright and cheery, is a hotel instead of a motel, has a much better pool, they don't mind if you order Von's groceries for delivery, Keurig coffee, in-room large safes, VERY comfy beds, great gift shop on premises, Mimi's close by (decent prices on very good food) and McD's is midway between the parks and Hojo's.

Argh, with 5 adults and 3 kids I guess that is out of the question for Hojo's kids suite. I just re-read your posting, sorry!

Basically need 4 beds with 2 in each bed. Our other combination. Four Queens or 3 queens 2 singles etc. Even a place that sleeps 7 with rollout cot.

Would like walking distance, but would settle for something that has a shuttle. Thank everyone, keep it coming. :worship::worship:

We've stayed at the Residence Inn Anaheim Resort Area/Garden Grove several times and really enjoy it. In my opinion, the only con about this hotel is the location. Other than that, I love this hotel! We've only stayed in the "2 Bedroom 2 Room Suite"; which has 2 bedrooms (1 room has 2 beds and the other room has 1 bed) - both bedrooms have bathrooms. It also has a kitchen, kitchen table and living room with sofa bed. It is very spacious.

Other perks include a buffet breakfast, evening reception, a movie room for the kids, amongst other amenitites.

Here's the link to the hotel:

HTH :)

*This hotel doesn't have a shuttle, but you can use ART*

I booked this for $206 plus tax for June. It is RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET from the pedestrian entrance. I have not been able to find a better deal to meet our particular needs (3 adults, 3 kids, two bathrooms, walking distance to the park), and I've looked a lot.

PS This is really just two connecting rooms. But they are guaranteed connecting, which is good for us.

Although I'm sure it varies with time, we're paying $119 night (+$4 resort fee + $8 parking) for a suite at Desert Inn and Suites - two rooms w/ 2 queen beds each, 1.5 baths, 1 microwave, 1 mini fridge. When I booked, they also had the two connecting rooms option for $20 more (the big differences I believe were - 2 full baths, 2 mini-fridges and 2 microwaves).

Desert Inn and Suites is right across the street from the pedestrian entrance.

Edit:
I just checked Sept 6-11, the suite I described is only $99 and the bigger one is $119!

We stayed at the Camelot Inn & Suites and it worked perfectly for us. The Deluxe One Bedroom Family Suite has 2 queen beds in the bedroom plus a queen and sleeper sofa in the main room. We also liked having a larger table for the kids to have breakfast at.

We stayed at the Residents Inn Maingate in September. It is much closer than the one in Garden Grove. We walked to and from the park most days and only used the ART shuttle a couple of times. We just don't have the patience for it.

We had 7 people and the 2 bedroom suite. It has 2 bathrooms. One bedroom with 2 queens. One bedroom with 2 Queens, and a sofa bed in the living room. I think it was a full size when pulled out.

We have also stayed at RI Maingate numerous times and walked to the parks, it is about 1/2 mile, easy walk.

Since you have time, how about renting points from a DVC member? You could get a 2 bedroom and have two doubles, a pull out sofa, a single murphy bed, and a king... and 3 bathrooms, lol. All while being on property.

Another vote here for Residence Inn Maingate. Amazing. Free breakfast, spacious suites, friendly staff and great facilities and a short 10 minute walk to the park gates.

I need to post a correction to my earlier post. The 2 bedroom suite at the RI had 1 bedroom with 2 queens and a loft bedroom with a KING plus the pull out bed in the living room. Still - will sleep 8.

Thanks for all the comments everyone. We ended up booking a suite at Dessert Inn and Suites. Big suite for 10 people $120 a night. Ended up getting another father to come, so we are 9 all together. Thanks All.....:worship::worship::worship::worship:

We stayed at Desert Inn and Suites in Feb. and would go back. We had the same room - 2 rooms separated by a door with 2 queens in each and a separate tv/couch room with fold out bed. Also has 2 full bathrooms, fridge and microwave. Free breakfast was basic - toast, oranges, etc. The rooms were clean. Pool is indoor which is nice depending on when you will be there. It was just redone in Feb. when we were there. It is across the street from the entrance which was so convenient. It also has a great little store that has tones of stuff in case you forget to pack something. We will definitely go back to this hotel. Have a great trip.
