Family Suites ASMU vs AOA

So DH and I have had a WDW trip planned for several months with a three split stay(Dolphin/VGF/PVB. Now both my grown kids decided to go and DS is taking his GF and her son.

DS was concerned about having privacy so I booked (Im paying) them in AOA first cars suite, then when DD decided she wanted to go and I decided to add her to the reservation I decided to look at ASMU and ended up changing the reservation there.

Looking at pics its not as nice and looks kinda worn? Its $488 more to change it back to AOA, I don't know if its worth it?

Then I thought if FD comes out since I have the dining plan booked then the price would drop considerably I would just have to pay the difference between QS and DDP

What do yall think? Should I chance it and hope for free dining to come out and go ahead and change it back to AOA
or
DO I wait and see if FD comes out and leave them at ASMu for now? Our trips are in Sept

I don't have any insight into weather to wait for free dining or not, but wanted to add that we recently stayed in ASMu Family Suite in Jazz building 4 and our family of five preferred the ASMu to the AOA family suites due to it not having to be two people on the sofa bed or murphy table bed. Instead in the ASMu room it was the convertible chair, convertible ottoman bed, and sofa bed. We found the room a little older looking but clean and well suited for us. Just our two cents.
