Family Suites: AoA or AS Music

Hello! It's been ages since I've been on here, but I'm currently starting to plan for my first trip since 2019!

My current dilemma is the hotel. We originally were going to rent a 1 bedroom DVC at AKL but after talking it over, we decided against that because 4.5 people in one bathroom would be a lot!

We aren't going until next April, 4 adults and an almost 3 year old. I currently have a suite at AoA booked but I'm second guessing it. I just learned that they don't have fridges anymore, only beverage coolers. We'll be bringing/buying food & milk for breakfasts and other easy meals/snacks and will have medication that needs to be refrigerated. So the beverage coolers concern me. Which leads me to AS music. Their family suites would be $1000 less and have a full fridge & freezer as well as 2 queen sized murphy beds, as opposed to the double size murphy and pull-out at AoA. But the pool & play area and Skyliner access are still pretty good draws for us at AoA, especially since we'll be taking mid-day breaks with a crazy toddler.

Any insight would be appreciated!

ASMu wins for the actual suites and price, AoA wins for EVERYTHING else. There really is NO comparison in the two hotels and their amenities. The only reason I would stay at ASMu is the suites. But if I wanted to spend resort time, great pools, SkyLiner etc then AoA would be my choice.

BUT I will just say that I bring food to the value rooms and have used the beverage coolers with no issues for years. Yogurt, Meat, Cheese, Condiments, OJ, Potato Salad ....
