Was looking for anyone's thoughts, input, suggestions, regarding this question. There are 7 of us going to Disney World in April My two inlaws, My wife and I, and my 3 kids (7,5,infant). I have booked two Little Mermaid Standard rooms at Art of Animation but the more I research I found that it states we can stay in a family suite with an extra ticket for the same price. It would make it easier for my inlaws, who are older, to stay in a finding Nemo Family suite because it is so much closer to Lobby, transportation, etc...

Sorry for the long winded explanation but just curious about the beds in these family suites? Do you think we would fit somewhat comfortably. My infant would obviously sleep in the pack n play.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks in advance :)

I never have stayed in those, but honestly, I don't think I'd want to be so close to my inlaws for sleeping.

Have you considered two rooms elsewhere, like even Pop? You would have a bit more privacy. You could request connecting rooms, but even if you don't get them, you would fit in one with your family, albeit tightly, and they could have their own room.

If I were the inlaws, no way would I want to share sleeping quarters with two kids. Never. Ever. Not happening.

Yes, technically, you would fit in the suite, but no, I would not do it if it were me. I would give them space.

Also you could look into doing the Finding Nemo suite for your family, which would be nice with 3 kids, and then have them stay across the lake at Pop. That would be ideal if you ask me. Pop is very not expensive, and sleep and privacy is much more important to me!

I completely agree and tried to explain this to them but they want the "whole Disney experience" with their grandkids and luckily I LOVE them enough and are close enough to want to stay in the same room.......... Once they see their energy and what a truly early morning is this may be their last Disney experience hahahaha..... I was just curious about the room with out going to a deluxe resort...thanks so much for your info...very much appreciated!!

I'm not sure what you mean about an extra ticket? You wouldn't need to purchase an extra ticket to stay in a family suite. You would still purchase 4 adult tickets, 2 child tickets and your infant would go into the parks for free.

Regardless, yes, you would all fit in an AoA suite! With the suite, you will get one bedroom with a queen bed and full bathroom (I would put your in-laws in here) and in the "living room" area, you will get a pull-out sofa, a pull down bed (which also transforms into a table), a full bathroom and a kitchenette (microwave and fridge). Honestly, it's basically like having 2 connecting standard rooms (with a little more space), with one less bed, but with the kitchenette. If you don't mind being that close to each other, the spacing would probably work out fine. Your in-laws could be in the bedroom and your family could be in the living area with you and your spouse in one bed, the 7 and 5 year old in another and the infant in a pack and play.

You may also want to consider pricing out two moderate rooms to see how that price compares to the AoA suite. I just find the bedding in the moderates to be more comfortable than the AoA bedding, but, yes, the Nemo suites would get you closer to the lobby, food court and bus area at AoA.

We stayed in a Nemo suite on our last trip. We had 7 as well. My husband and I, my 25 year old daughter and son-in-law, their 4 month old baby, my 16 year old and my 8 year old. We were fine and had no issues. There aren't too many people that I would stay with in a room like that but it works for us. There is a bedroom with a queen bed and the sofa bed and Murphy table bed are in the main area. I would suggest giving the bedroom to your in laws and the rest of your family in the common area. I would pick the table bed over the couch :) give the littles the sofa bed...it's not as comfy :) you will have a kitchen nett which was great for breakfast and snacks. Also 2 full bathrooms. We put the baby's pack n play in the kitchen area. Have a great trip!

Sorry I should have explained that more!!!! The fun and sun package can be used on Little Mermaid Rooms ...So I meant I would be able to book the Finding Nemo suite under the fun and sun package for the same amount of money and it includes and extra day in the park then what I was originally booking

Can't not can...the little mermaid room can't be booked under the fun and sun package. Jeez my typing is struggling here

Got it!! LOL! The other advantage of the Nemo suite is you are guaranteed to be all together if that's what you would like to do. If you were thinking of requesting connecting LM rooms, that would only be a request and not guaranteed.

I also only have a select group of family members that I could share that kind of close quarters with, but we also could stay there with no issues.

I think if your family is set on this, why not give it a try? We generally choose two rooms and request that they be connecting, but we found that my granddaughter loved that experience of having us so near, as did we. We knew full well that it could be "chaotic" but we enjoyed every minute.

If your in-laws have any kind of mobility issues I would definitely say no to LM rooms... they are a loooong walk, especially after walking all day in the parks. I've never stayed in a suite at AofA so I can't comment on size, etc. Sounds like a fun trip no matter where you pick!
