I like the idea of the family style service being we have 2 small boys. Is 'Ohana the only restaurant that serves family style meals?

For all-you-can-eat family-style options, you have
Ohana,
Whispering Canyon in the Wilderness Lodge (the infamous skillet meal - barbecue chicken, ribs),
Garden Grill in Epcot (character dinner with turkey, steak, fish),
Akershus in Epcot (the first course is a buffet, but the main entrees are brought to your table, not really family-style but it can be much easier with smaller kids than a buffet, plus there are princesses here who love little princes),
and Liberty Tree Tavern in Magic Kingdom (think Thanksgiving dinner).

Some places DH and I do our own "family style" type dinner because the portions are so big. We'll just order a few things, put it in the center of the table and eat what we want.

Our DD was 2 on our trip last year and we really enjoyed Whispering Canyon....good food and the staff is so funny and really cut up with everyone...My DD started getting mad about something and our waitress came over and started pitching a fit too it was so funny.

Which restaurants have really big portions? And will they give extra plates for my under 3 boys?

The portions initially come out small but you can order more of whatever you want, whenever you want. For ie. my husband tells the wait staff at WCC to automatically bring double the amount of ribs..lol It saves them a trip later.

My son was almost 2 when we went in Jan. He was given a plate and a drink at no charge and was allowed to eat whatever we ate. :goodvibes

Pretty much everywhere.
Including many Counter Service locations. The half-chicken-and-ribs-with-potatoes-and-green beans plate at Cosmic Ray's in MK, for example, is about $14 and could easily feed 2 adults with no problem, so sharing with little ones would not make a dent.

Extra plates are never a problem.

Just be aware that, naturally, less cost-intensive dishes will be presented in larger portions. Chicken, pasta, tilapia/mahi mahi, pot roast, casseroles, burgers will be huge portions; steaks, scallops, chops, sea bass/salmon/ahi tuna, crab, lobster - these type of entrees will be in smaller (relatively) portions.

When traveling two years ago with a then-18-month-old, we often ordered him his own dish of mac and cheese or mashed potatoes when we were at a table service restaurant; we were only charged for it a couple of times out of five dinners, and when we were it was only $3-4. Something you might want to think about if you need to slightly supplement the food y'all are sharing. We were never charged for his beverages, even when we ordered milk.

Definitely. We've done this at Yak & Yeti, Spoodles (no longer there though), Rainforest, Tony's, Kona (breakfast), Nine Dragons. I'm sure there's more, but that's what I can think of at the moment.
