Disneyland today!! We woke up at what I thought was 7am as that was when the breakfast started. We went down to breakfast and it was crazy busy but we managed to snag a table. Breakfast included 3 types of cereal, toast, apples, bananas, oranges, donuts, muffins and bagels also juice etc.
After having our fill of breakfast (the kids loved being able to pick their own breakfasts and usually went for the cereal and toast!) we headed off to Disneyland hoping to be first in line. I was a bit concerned by the number of people heading to the park. When we arrived (8:10am according to my watch) the gates were open and the train was full of people leaving the station...hmmmm. I looked at the station clock and realized my watch was 1 hour slow!!
We headed to Fantasyland and did Dumbo, Peter Pan, Small world, Alice and the Carousal. Gabe met a friend at Peter Pan as I needed a group of 2 to take Gabe as we could not go on as a group of 4 and Gabe missed the 7 year age bracket to go alone. A kind family in front took him, they had a 6 year old son and a 3 year old daughter. The six year old ended up coming with us on Small World later in the day.
We then headed to Mickey's Toontown but it was packed so we went on the train around the park and left for lunch...lunch of sanwiches and fruit by the pool and then a nap and a swim and we felt refreshed to return to the park. Our first priority was ice-cream from Gibson Girl. The kids sat on the curb and people watched. We then did Winnie the Pooh and visited with the characters then headed for dinner -- burritos, boy were we stuffed!
We found a great spot for the parade. It was a fantastic parade and we were all impressed. We were going to leave after the parade (about 7:30pm) but decided to ride some more rides before leaving (tea cups, alice and casey Jr.) The kids (and I) found nighttime disneyland magical!
