Family Reunion Wisconsin Dells

We are planning a 2011 family reunion and have chosen the Dells as the location. Does anyone have a recommendation for a resort that is reasonably priced ( I know nothing is cheap in the Dells!) and has some recreational activities. It looks like the water park resorts are way out of our price range. We have a few people who will camp, but most would like a cabin/hotel. We can easily leave the resort for entertainment, so the most important thing would be a central area for get togethers and the price.

There will be 50-60 people attending, ages infant to 80s.

We plan to drive to the Dells to check out some places in a few weeks, but it would sure be nice to narrow the list of resorts to a manageable number.

With that many people you can probably get some nice discounts on your rooms through the group travel office at the hotel. I would suggest you try that. If you go later August, after the 20th or so, the room prices drop quite a bit. Same for early June. I would suggest Wilderness Lodge as there is quite a bit to do on site but if not everyone will stay there you might need to stay somewhere that allows outside guests like Kalahari. The Kalahari has a nice wing of Condos so that might be an option as well.

Honestly, I don't think there is a hotel in the Dells that doesn't have a waterpark .

if u dont mind staying in the baraboo area it might be cheaper. There is a place that rents out cabins across the street from Devils lake state park, so you may want to check into staying there, or somewhere in baraboo too, its only like 10 minutes or so from the Dells.

I recommend Wilderness Resort too. There are at least 3 large waterpark on site for resort guests only.

They have a variety of accomodations, from typcial hotel-style rooms to cabins and villas. And they often have internet specials, too.
