I have family in Orlando that we try to see before a cruise. We are hoping to be on the WBPC in 2017, going out of Port Canaveral. Problem is, the week before the cruise leaves is the week after Easter and premium season. I have at least 8 people in the area but they all wouldn't be staying with us. There are 5 in my immediate family.
Options that I think may work to keep prices down -
A. Rent a RV and stay at Fort Wilderness (we have wanted to do this anyway). We could take ME to and from Disney and then ??? from the airport to the port? Should be $300ish a night between the rental and the site and could sleep 10.
B. Get a hotel on the beach at Daytona or Cocoa and rent a car. Drop car off at the port. We've stayed at El Caribe many times before in Daytona and they have a huge room for groups, I think it sleeps 16.
C. The ubiquitous other.
I'd preferably like to do this cheaper if possible. We do love Disney (of course) and had an amazing time with family staying at SSR in September. Family could also drop us off at the port if we stayed in Daytona/Cocoa but I wouldn't feel comfy asking them to drive us there from Orlando. Any ideas?
