Family Restaurant Near Buffalo Airport?

4 adults and 5 kids flying out tomorrow, all shampoo in checked luggage LOL. Looking for good value clean restaurant near airport. Any suggestions?

There's a Cracker Barrel on Transit Rd, about 5 minutes away. Pretty casual, country style cooking.

There is a Ruby Tuesday's at the Galleria Mall. Across from the Galleria Mall is a Olive Garden. Across the bridge is a Chilli's and a Bob Evans where the Target is. There is also a McDonald's there.

Galleria mall is about 5 minutes from airport.

Our family favorite is Jack Astors in the mall.

Hands down our fav. In fact we will on occasion hop in the car and drive there just to eat! You get HUGE portions and then the choice of 3 side dishes. Hubby swears by the Chicken & dumplings then chooses, Mac & Cheese, Corn & (I forget this one). I get a ham steak, mac & cheese, corn & hashbrown casserole. Daughter gets chicken & dumplings, mac & cheese, apple sauce & hashbrowns. Also comes with cornbread or biscuits. We got huge glasses of raspberry lemonaide the last time that they just kept filling up.

Total with tip --- around $35.00 We feel it is a steal!

Also agree with whoever it was that mentioned Bob Evans. quick basic food that will apeal to all ages/tastes.

I'm guessing, Janet, that you've been there once or twice? I'm surprised you didn't offer menu suggestions, as well.

It's one of our faves too. DH usually can't remember the name and refers to it as the Cheddar Barn or Cheese House.

I know the Bob Evans across from Target is closed now but there is one on Transit almost beside Cracker Barrel.

Across the street from Walden Galleria is Fudruckers. LARGE portions, not too expensive. Walden is 1 exit after the airport. There is also a TGI Friday's there in the same plaza as the Target.

They only asked for places to eat! Not what to eat!

DH used to practically live at the BUF airport.

He suggests "The Olympia" just down the road past the airport on the right hand side (On Genesse) About 2 minutes past.
He says it's right across from the Holiday Inn (not the first one you see which is HI Express)

Great food for a non-chain place.

Another vote for Olympia, but most chain restaurants have food that upsets my tummy. There are also several diner type places north on Transit Rd (right turn from Genesee/airport) such as Hillview on the left and Zorbas on the right.

Zorbas has the best french fries, served in paper lunch bags.
