family race 5k and kids race timing for Food & Wine weekend help

Is it going to be possible to make it from the Animal Kingdom 5k to the kids races at WWoS at 10am? What time would we need to leave Ak to make it on time for DD's race at WWoS?

I'm assuming there won't be a direct bus to WWoS from AK that morning? so what would be the best way to get from Ak to WWoS? ride to a hotel, then ride to WWoS or would a taxi be a better option to get there on time for DD's race?

I don't see why you wouldn't be able to make it. Figure it starts at 7am if you are in the back you might begin at 7:30. Walking a 20 min per mile would take an hr. So you would finish at 8:30, add another 45 min for any problems. So you would leave at 9:15 or earlier most likely. BUT I would take a taxi- for the $15 it would be so much more relaxing then waiting for a bus at 2 different stops. The kids race my DD did was pretty relaxed, just have to stick to your age group basically.

We did it for the Princess Half weekend and we were so early and the waiting around was terrible so for the Wine & Dine I decided that DD will only run the 5K and not the kid races. I also was not happy with the setup of the Princess Half weekend kids races
