In the vast experience of the DIS, in regards to the Fantasy: which is a better time to be at the pool with kids? Or asked another way: do most kids go to the clubs in the mornings and pool in the afternoon or vice versa? Is there a pleasant time to be there? Or is it always chaos?

We are considering bringing our youngest (8) on our planned 'adults only' cruise. Just trying to figure if we will get any FUN time at family pool or if we should just stick to Adults Only...

The Fantasy is the only ship I haven't been on, but for the other 3 ships, it seems like the pools are least crowded before noon and then are packed until early dining time. Perhaps someone else can chime in about the Fantasy specifically?

Like the previous poster, I've not been on the Fantasy, but when we were on the Dream and Magic, we found they were least busy in the mornings and got progressively more crazy as the day went on.

Afternoons were the worst time for us on the Fantasy. The best time we found was actually after dinner. It's quiet, they have movies playing under the stars and there were plenty of chairs. The pool was heated when we went so the kids never got cold. It was our favorite time to go.

The pools always seem to be crazy on all the ships. We usually skip the pools and enjoy all of the other activities on the ship and save swimming for the ports.

Mornings are a great time for the pools onboard. Hardly any people. About 11:00 they start getting really crowded.

our general plan on sea days is to do breakfast in cabanas then head to the pool for a while before it gets too hot or too crowded. Then the kids go into kids club for a bit and DH and I use the fitness center. We will shower, dress, than pick the kids up and either do something else fun as a family or go straight to lunch. We also try to get into the pool again in the evening during the first dining time if we're not fired up about the show in the theater.

As other posters have stated, early morning and after about 4:30 in the afternoon including after dinner. Also, anytime we are in port the pools will be less crowded. The pool can also be less crowded around lunch time, but the chairs are hard to come by at that time.
