Family of the day, picked for parades whats your secret??

I just read on another thread about a lucky family that was picked to be the family of the day at the CR. Anybody else experience this? if so what time did you check in? was it a special occasion?
Along the same lines if you were picked to be in a parade what do you think made you stand out that a cm picked you????

any tips or secrets?

My family is going the end of August we are dh ,myself, dd16, ds14, dd4, ds2 I really want this trip to be a special one. It is our first trip to DW since the younger ones where born. The older 2 have only been once before. Anyway we probably will not make it back for a few more years. (the last time was over 6 yeras ago)I am thinking the older 2 may not even be going with us then since they maybe in there 20s and doing their own things

so as you can see I want it to be special!!!

You need to find a way to make your family stick our from all the rest.. matching BRIGHT color shirts maybe and everyone happy. DH and I got to be in the lead car for the parade 3yrs ago while on our honeymoon. We had the bride and groom hats on and were in the park early and got asked if we would be willing to be in the parade (umm duh of course we'll stick around for that!). Good luck and just try to get there early, that's when they are out.
