The date was December 23.

Family:

Tom - hubby
Sherrie - wife
Heidi - daughter
Raymond - son

This was our Blizzard Beach day. Which was planned perfectly thanks to this board because it was the last day BB was open.

I did not plan a wake-up call. Thought everyone would like to sleep in. I believe we were up and out of the resort around 11 am. Blizzard Beach was a blast. It was my favourite waterpark. The other family members liked TL best. I believe that we did everything there except for the kiddie area because children could only be 3 feet or shorter. Heidi and I did Summit Plummit, infact I did it twice. What a rush. Tom just shook his head and could not understand why I could possibly like a slide like that. It was great though. We did the innertube ride around the park, which was great except for the icewater being dumped on us. BRRRR. We all really enjoyed the family innertube slide. It was really fun. The second time we went on it the line was a little long so a CM named Carlos went about halfway through the line and had Disney trivia contest. It was fun. I warned people around me if there is a question about a Disney movie and I own the video, I am going to win. Problem when there is an autistic child in the family, videos are watched over and over and over. Anyway, I think that I won twice and then Carlos was giving me funny looks. So when he did a question about the Little Mermaid video, I told the boy behind me the answer, he won. Lunch was at BB which also produced another refillable mug to add to our growing collection of mugs to take home. Heidi and Tom did all of the other slides and said that they were fun while I took Raymond into the childrens area where there were smaller innertube slides and a pool section where he could play on plastic ice floats. Raymond liked those floating ice things. Unfortunately 5:00 came quickly and we left.

Dinner for the kids was from the food court at AS Movies for Tom and I were going to the Polynesian Luau. The kids had Margerite from the Fairy Godmothers service. She was really good with the kids and had a bag of goodies for them to play with. She ended up giving Raymond a troll to keep and Heidi naturally talked her ear off about whatever. We recommend the Fairy Godmother service tremendously. It cost us $60.- for the first four hours and then $12./hour after that. Expensive, but worth it. Kids were sleeping when we got back.

Now the luau. It was at the Polynesian resort, we I am starting to really like. There was a lot of people there. We were in a lineup outside for a good 20 minutes before getting to the podium. Recommend people go to podium early. While in line there was this family behind us with this little girl, I forget her name, (around five years old) but she was a card. She was singing and dancing the luau getting right in the mood. Now the show was good, food was good. With the food we could have had wine or beer free. Both of us wanted a tropical drink. These were really expensive, I think $8.00 each and were not that good. The show and dinner lasted about 2 hours.

After that we headed towards Downtown Disney and Pleasure Island. Unfortunately, neither Tom or I ended up having the energy for PI so we shopped until we dropped. It was funny at one of the stores. The store was closed and there was still some of us shopping. Soon the store was closed for an hour and Tom and I were still shopping and the only ones left in the store except for CMs. I finally manage to get Tom to the cash and tell the CM that we are done. She (cannot remember her name) teases us telling us to keep shopping she is not in a rush. I make some joke about running out of money, so finally we are out of there. We walk around downtown area and then head back to the resort. Pay the sitter $84.- for 6 hours (gulp). While changing for bed both of us realize that we got some nasty sunburns at BB earlier in the day. I have never had a sunburn in December before. Crash in bed and wait for the phone to wake us up in a few hours.

Sounds like an excellent day. Nothing better than swimming and shopping.

The weather obviously warmed up for you, what was the temperature approx.? It's nice that you were able to manage an evening for the two of you, even if it was expensive.

Maybe it was windburn and not sunburn lol. Love to spend time shopping at the world, thanks for posting!

Sherrie, Sounds like a wonderful day at BB. I also love this water park.
