Family of 8 traveling 18 hrs to Disney, Reasonable places to Stay? How to save ?

Since you said your family likes camping - I assume you have camping supplies. If camping is your thing - why not just get a campsite at Fort Wilderness. It's 1st class camping all the way! The bathhouses are the cleanest you will ever find. I would check out the "Camping at Disney" forum.

Wow:sad2: People never cease to amaze me. I was getting very frustrated with this woman because every bit of advice or direction that was given she had little interest in or just completely misinterpreted it.

At first I thought maybe if she had a chance to actually speak to one of us we could explain it better but the more I read her posts the more I felt less inclined. I couldn't take the bolding as if I were missing something I was thinking why doesn't she call a travel agent and get some information but at this point I don't think anyone can help her. For all of you that have patience and understanding...she's lucky!! You guys are saints!

Good luck OP, I do not think I am worthy enough to help you.

I would rent Bonnet Creek from someone. Do a search on here and you will find a lot of information. I know 8 sleep easily and with a 3 year old, I think you would be fine.

yep! That's why I'm hoping for Universal-- cause if it's Disney there will be a thread after the return about how awful & $$$ Disney is :rolleyes1
