Family of 6 stay in pop???

I can understand being cheap, I am too.

We had a Value resort a couple of trips ago and had 4 people in there. This was a 4 day trip, never again (maybe a weekend trip but anything after 2 nights no way)! This was 3 adults and a 8 year old (but he's almost as big as an adult-tall and a bit husky).

We made do and survived. Sharing a bathroom was extremely difficult.

Since then, we get 2 rooms.

Beyond the "legality" of this, which doesn't really bother me, it's no way to spend a vacation. The value rooms are quite tiny. It would be very uncomfortable for any length of time, even if you are only sleeping in the room. I barely thought it was big enough for me and DS, who was 3 at the time, for one night.


It sounds life frugality is very important to you. Do you camp? You could get a campsite at Fort Wilderness. The sites are beautiful, you get full Disney benefits, and you could legally have all of your family onsite.

How old are your kids? Another poster awhile back had two kids over 3 and two under and was able to stay at a value (I thought you could only have one, but she said no, they let her do it with two). I think she brought a single inflatable mattress and put one kid on each end. I also think she said the beds in the values push together and that made more room, but it was a while ago, so I may have it mixed up.
My daughter's family had a rollaway at Pop (she has a boy and girl and they needed separate beds) in one of our rooms with two double beds, and it was only down at night, and they didn't complain at all about it.
If the kids are too old, or even if they aren't and you don't want to be crowded, I would stay off-site..you can often get a reasonable place that includes breakfasts.
