I have 4 daughters ages 16,14,8 and 6 and I've been playing with the idea of planning a December trip for just a few nights to go to MVMCP and see the new Disney Springs. With a family of 6, it's hard to find a hotel that fits us all and doesn't cost a fortune. Anyone have any well priced suggestions? Thanks!

We just booked at the Doubletree on Hotel Plaza Blvd - very close to Disney springs. I didn't know these 7 "disney" hotels existed until other posters made me aware of them. They offer bus transportation every half hour and a short walk to Disney springs. Disneyspringshotels.com.
The Doubletree rooms have two queens in a bedroom and a pull out sofa. Two room suite with mini-kitchen

Will you have a rental car? If so you may want to consider a condo at one of the nearby neighborhoods. I like Windsor Hills but there are a ton to choose from. I normally rent a 3 bedroom condo there that includes two twins, a queen and king.

With your plans you do not need to be in a Disney hotel ... if you have a car.

If you will not have a car, I agree Doubletree in Disney Springs is a great option.

If you will have a car also compare Doubletree to -
- Buena Vista Suites
- StayBridge Suites
- Embassy Suites
- Homewood Suites
- Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites
- Caribe Royale Orlando

Some offer discounts via Mousesavers, DisneySpringsHotels.com

We're a family of 6. I've been looking into Windsor Hills townhouses/condos, and Wyndham Bonnet Creek for our next trip. WBC is more of a resort, with lots of pools and splash pad and mini golf. But the suites for families of 6-8 are only 2 bedrooms there. At Windsor Hills, similar size/price condos are 3 bedrooms. With your older kids, you may want 3 rooms instead of 2!

Sounds like there are lots of options though.

Everything comes down to how much you want to spend. Xmas is more expensive because demand is high.
