Hi...new tot he cruise board...I'm usually on all the other DIS boards, but I'm starting to think about a Disney Cruise. But, In order to get a rough idea of a budget, I'd like to know which category cabins are an option for our family of five... 2 adults, and 3 kids - ages 5, 3, and 1?

Thanks for the help!

If you all want to be together, you need a category 4 cabin(or a suite category, number 1-3) You can also select 2 connecting cabins. Cat. 10 is the lowest that connect. The 11's and 12's do not have the door inside. Unlike the WDW resorts, every person, even babies in cribs, count toward the room maximum.

Keep in mind when getting 2 connecting cabins that the first 2 peoplke in each room pay the full rate, so you'd pay for 4 adults and 1 child

Cat 4 beds - 1 queen, 1 "murphy" style bed, 1 couch that converts to a bed & 1 pull down "top bunk" style bed so be sure that at least 1 of the little ones would be ok in the bunk bed. There is a railing on 1 side and the other is against the wall. DD was about 1 month short of turning 5 & had no problems when it was her turn.
