Looking at AllEarsNet has me all confused about room layout and the difference between deluxe/concierge.

I know 2 Queen Beds and a daybed are available for a family of 5 and these are considered deluxe rooms but---are they also concierge rooms?? Are deluxe rooms available that are not concierge??

I would also like to know any of the rooms are available with 1 queen bed, bunk beds and a daybed. That certainly would be agreat option for our family. The only draw back to vacationing for us is the kids have a hard time sleeping in the same bed with someone. I think if everyone could get a good night's sleep we would even be able to eliminate mid afternoon nap breaks and spend more time at the pool!

Hope someone can help!!

Below is the room lay-out you were requesting at AKL

rsaklrmlay5thnimg.gif

Deluxe - One Queen Bed, One Bunk Bed & One Day Bed

For addition room lay-out go to:

No the Deluxe Savannah room would have the above lay-out if reserved. Must notify them room is for five. Not all are Concierge.

There are some deluxe rooms like that but it will only be a request. You may get the 2 queens/daybed.

Wow! Thanks for the quick response. I think we have found our new Disney home!! We enjoyed our stay at the Polynesian and I was pretty sure we would end up there again this August. I guess I will cross my fingers on each hand --- one for the bunkbed/daybed room and the other for another Fairytale Package!!

Don't you just love these boards.

Thanks for answering my question before asking.

The 5th floor rooms are deluxe/concierge. I believe the only difference is whether your room key allows access to the 6th floor - where the concierge lounge is located.

We have stayed in a 5th Floor Deluxe Non-Concierge room exactly as you describe. It had one queen bed, bunk beds and a daybed. It also connected to my Parents room next door that had 2 queen beds.

To the best of my knowledge (unless someone has actually seen one) the AKL does not have a room configuation with 2 queens and a day bed. The deluxe rooms have the configuration in the previous link or 2 queens or a King bed with a day bed. This was one of my frustrations as we also wanted 2 queens and a day bed. We ended up with the bunk bed room and it worked fine.

The difference between the deluxe and the standard rooms at the Animal Kingdom Lodge is that the deluxe rooms are bigger by about 40 square feet. I believe they have deluxe rooms that have 2 queens, deluxe rooms that have 1 queen and bunk beds, and deluxe rooms with a king bed, but as was mentioned, the configuration is only a request.

Don't you just love being a party of 5...especially when the kids get older? :) You either have to either pay for two standard rooms or go with a deluxe that sleeps 5 (with the exception of POR).

We are staying at AKL/Deluxe Savannah view and were told by CRO and the concierge staff that our room will have a queen, bunks and a daybed. We are thrilled. Everyone will have their own little corner of the AKL.

Now if only we can keep the colds, flu and snow away so we can get down there (we are driving)!

daannzzz - Not only have I seen one...I stayed in one! 2 Queens and a Daybed. You could say I was a test case! I was told they are concidering having more of these rooms available since people are requesting them.

Yay!!! Thanks for the photo. I hope they do make more of those rooms even though it looks a bit cramped. We like our room with the bunks but crawling up to the top one was not always easy for me! ;)

Just in case it's not already clear.

You can book a deluxe room without staying concierge, at a rate between a regular savannah view room and the concierge rate.

If you do book a concierge room, it will either be a fifth floor deluxe room or a sixth floor room. I don't know about the sixth floor rooms but there are far fewer of them than the fifth floor deluxe rooms, and I think that most of them are still deluxe rooms, but do not have a savannah view (pool view instead?).
