Family of 5 1st trip to DL- Resort questions

Well, I believe the GCH does, but I've never stayed "on-site" at DL so I can't say for sure. I'm sure someone who has will come on and help you with that.

I was just going to say that with kids, a cheaper and nice option is the HoJo Anaheim. It's within walking distance, near places to eat, and they have Castaway Cove which is so great for the kids. http://www.hojoanaheim.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=205

Staying off site at DL is entirely different then staying off site at WDW, as I'm sure many here will attest to. So if you really have your heart set on staying onsite, it would work out, but don't be afraid to explore other options.

Sure, you can fit 5 in a room at any of the 3 onsite hotels. DLH has bigger rooms, you can get 2 Queens and a rollaway. GCH's rooms are more elegant and a bit smaller, but they have bunkbeds that have a trundle bed underneath, so they accomodate 3 kids. PP I'm not that sure about, but I'm sure people have stayed 5 in a room there.

That said, there's much less reason to stay onsite at DL than at WDW. Some of the hotels across the street on Harbor Blvd are as close or closer than DLH or PP. Plus you will pay about 1/2 to 1/3 the price than for the onsite hotels.

There are some hotels that have kids' suites across the street; I believe BWPPI has them, as does Carousel and maybe Desert Inn? They book up fast, though. Here's a map with links to the different hotels: http://www.geocities.com/ashpsyche/DisneylandLinkMap.html

A lot of people like Howard Johnson's, one long block further up Harbor, if you can get their Entertainment book rate of $59 a night for a standard room, $74 for a premium room. They have large rooms as well, that could accomodate a rollaway along with 2 queens.

That's what I'd read about the GCH, the bunk/trundle beds.

We used the roll away in the HoJo and it worked out nicely.

We are staying at the Disneyland Hotel with 2 adults and 3 children. They have rooms with 2 queens and a daybed. Works great for us!
