We got our own table. We didn't request it and would have been fine with other people. But I didn't have to feel as horrified when my 3 and 4 year olds started eating butter pads. We ended up having our servers bring out just one pad per person and limit them to one roll.

Denae, so do your kids lick or finger the butter off the roll before they eat it like my DD? DD loves butter, and like your's, will eat just the butter pads if we let her.

We had a table by ourselves, did not request it either.

Mike - they will eat the butter itself if we let them. They even stick their tongues into the little butter containers - gross! We told them they were to use their manners because we were at a fancy restaurant, but the power of the butter took over their good sense. And yes, they will lick the butter off the roll or pick it out of their pasta, and then tell us they are full. Healthy meal, huh?

What is with their fascination with butter?
