Has anyone done this tour? Is a 2 year old too young for it or do you think it would be ok?

Looking for experiences and opinions. Thanks!

We have done the Family Magic Tour 6 times. The first time my youngest dd was just about 2 1/2. We brought her stroller and it was okay, but she really didn't get into the whole tour. My older dd was 5 at the time and she had a ball. The next time youngest dd was just about to turn 3 and she loved it. We actually did the tour twice on that trip (we had some other family members join us)! The older my dd's have gotten the more they enjoy the actual tour and the character interaction at the end of the tour is awsome! My kids really like the special attention. The tour guide CMs are really great, they appear to love their jobs. We will be doing it again on our November trip.

We just did this last week! It was awesome! My DD's are 3 and 1 and the three yr old loved it! The baby was in the stroller most of the time.

Can someone explain what the Family Magic Tour is? Been to Disney a few times but had no idea what I was missing before I started reading these boards. TIA!

It is kind of like a scavenger hunt through the MK. Each tour can be different, they have differnt "quest". We have looked for Capt. Hook's hook, and found clues to make sure all the story endings were "happy". You go through the park with a guide doing things (kind of like Simon Says). The end of the tour has a great character interaction. The characters can be different each time. The group also gets to go and ride a ride or see a show with the character. The tour group is kept seperate from the general public (you get to go in first or in a seperate waiting area). We have ridden It's a Small World and watched Philharmagic several times with Peter Pan. We have had Wendy and Peter Pan on 3 occasions. We really like the tour.

My opinion would be the 2 year old would be a little too young for it. I'm sure they would enjoy it but I don't think they would "get it" as much as an older child. If there are older siblings along, then sure go ahead and bring the 2 year old. However, if that's your only child, I would wait until a bit older. That's just my opinion though. We went in the middle of summer and had a couple stroller kids with us -- it was hard getting through the crowds for those parents, the tourguide did a great job making sure none of us got seperated or anything, I just felt sorry for them.

I sent DH & the 1 year old back to the hotel while the 3 older kids (11, 8 & 5 at the time) went. We all had a BLAST. We will definitely be doing this one again.

Remember your autograph book & camera.
