Family Locator Apps that work well in DLR

When we last went to Disneyland (Sept '14) our "find my friends" app on our iPhones did not work well at locating each other...sometimes it was close, but often is was very far off.

Has anyone had any luck with any of the other family locating apps at the parks? It would be great to get some idea about where everyone in our group is, even if they can't answer a call or text right away.

I still use a flip phone and only call or text.
