Family in Napa builds Matterhorn Ride in their Backyard

Really? That seems like a much smaller number than I would expect, but maybe they did a lot of the work themselves?? I don't know how you could figure out the layout, construct the mountain, cars, elaborate track, etc without spending a bunch of money. I wonder if you need a permit? I would guess so, and how do they evaluate safety? I am guessing it would add to your homeowner's insurance since they raise it for pools and trampolines, lol. It cost more than that to renovate my bathroom

This was featured on the CNN 10 (student news) program my social studies students watch everyday. When it came on they thought it was cool and thought I should build one in my yard. That's a nope!
