Family Fun Weekends at Disneyland Park

The Disneyland Resort has announced Family Fun Weekends, a variety of special events at Disneyland Park that will give Guests a special reason to visit The Happiest Place on Earth.

On weekends (Friday-Sunday) from 14 January to 6 March, a wide array of special activities will be taking place at Disneyland Park, with a constantly changing theme, from Hispanic culture to a family reunion of the world-famous Disney characters, to a Mardi Gras party in New Orleans Square.

I saw this. Doesn't look bad, some extra fun for people who can casually visit the parks. But why weekends and not weekdays?
