Family, friends, teachers & Stacy too! - The End 9/27 page 14

After the boat ride, we headed to the playground (and bar) near Trail’s End Restaurant. We had a 5pm ADR and we were a bit early so we enjoyed some time just hanging out before dinner. When it was time to check in, Heidi spoke with the CM & checked in our 7 adults (including Alex) and 3 kids. Then Zach decides to say, "I'm 10!" Which he was not! I'd had a glass of sangria on a fairly empty stomach so I stumbled on my words and mixed things up again, saying something like "You aren't 9, you are 10!" I was ready to ring his neck. The CM thought it was pretty funny. I'm not sure if she knew he was messing around or if she thought we were trying to pull a fast one but we were seated as a party of 7 adults & 3 kids.

The food was pretty good & the company was excellent. It was a fantastic way to cap off our trip.

We were able to get the Hoop Dee Doo Revue PP people to take a group picture for us.

After dinner, we said our good-byes and took the boat back over to Wilderness Lodge. Matt taught Zach a secret code during dinner:

Some pictures of Wilderness Lodge (what a gorgeous resort!!):

That was pretty much it! We grabbed some bagels at Dunkin Donuts for the morning and headed back to the villa to finish packing up. One more sleep and it was time to say good-bye to our Happy Place. I’ll leave it at that as you don’t need to hear about our uneventful trip back home.

As far as upcoming trips… Not much new to report on our February trip. We have airfare booked, annual passes purchased from our April trip last year and now some ADRs. I still don’t know for sure what we’ll be doing on our first few days so I made some extra ADRs for “just in case”. We still don’t have a timeshare condo reserved – there doesn’t seem to be anything open past Dec 2013 yet.

In just 20 days I’ll be back in the world with my friend Nicole. We did change resorts from POFQ to POR when we heard about Magic Band testing (and of course now they are testing at POFQ too). We still have waitlists at BWV & AKL, which go right up until 7 days prior to check in (through the guy I rent DVC points from). I got our Mickey Mail (ME docs & tags) and Magic Bands a week or so ago!

We finished up our costumes for MNSSHP yesterday. We decided to go with Mouseketeers.

I was also able to snag an ADR (finally) for our MNSSHP night!!! I'm really excited about that!!

I can't wait to see Hallowishes in 3 weeks!!

Thanks for hanging in there with me with this report! It’s been so hard to finish this one!

What a fun last update, Amy.

Love the photopass pics at the Studios and at your dinner with the whole gang.

What beautiful pictures on Seven Seas Lagoon; you've convinced me that Mark and I should do that some time.

Great end to your trip Amy! We have rented the searacer boats a couple of times, and the boys LOVE them. We usually rent from the Poly so we drive around seven seas lagoon too. We are actually doing it again when we're there over Columbus Day wknd. The best part is they can drive at age 12. Well they think that's great.... me not so much.
We also ate at Trails End for the first time in July. What a great buffet that is. And it's so empty too. Unbelievable!!
I Love your costume!! We've never been to MNSSHP, but if I would go and dress up I have thought about doing that same thing!!
We're not going in Oct. bc my kids are big now and not really into parades and fireworks anymore which is mostly why people go. I just don't think it's worth the extra $$ for us.
Have a great girls trip!! sounds fun!
Oh btw, I have been trying to follow threads about FP+ for offsite guests. Since you also stay offsite have you heard what's going on w that? I'm hoping that APs will have some kind of advantage. KWIM?? I invest a LOT in Disney even though I don't stay onsite anymore.

So is this boat dock from the Old Discovery Island or River Country?

I love the pictures from your boat ride and, you're right, it looks like an absolutely perfect way to spend the afternoon. How fun for both of your families to get together for the afternoon and dinner.

Too funny Zach said he was 10. :faint:

Happy Belated Birthday. Hope you had a great day.

Love your costume for the Halloween party. You make a great mouseketeer! I picked pink for my band, too!

Wish our October trips overlapped, but *sigh* maybe another time.

Woo hoo! :cool1: for Annual Passes!

Loved your TR! Thanks!

I love the boat ride past this line of trees.

Thanks for sharing your stories and pictures. Always love seeing your fine boys having such a good time.

I'm with you on the reports and getting time to work on them. Life has gotten super busy, and something has to be put aside. For me, it had to be DIS time. :sad1:

oh I can see where that would have been a VERY stressful 30 minutes trying to figure out where everyone was! I'd have needed that sangria too. How funny about the "I'm 10!" comment. It looks like a fun boat ride, with a great group and a nice end to the trip. I am excited to eat at Trails End in December.

Love the pink Magic Bands, can't wait to hear all about it!

What a fun trip.

Love Sci Fi. Looks like you all had fun with friends on this trip. The boat ride looked so relaxing. I bet dinner was filled with laughs.

you got a lot of great pictures. Love the costume for your upcoming girls trip. So fun. Can't wait to read all about that trip.:)
