Family, Friends, & Celebrities- A MAGICAL Birthday TR!!! *UPDATE*8/27! Final thoughts

Man, Ohana looks good. I'm gonna have to try that place one of these days.
We've only ever been to O'hana for breakfast. Dinner looks fabulous. Going to have to add that to our list for next time.
I'm thinking O'hana dinner sounds good! I may have to make an ADR for it for next year!

You think I can get on the Disney payroll?
I think you all need to try it out. Just be prepared for a rapid fire of food coming to your table! :lmao:

Ohana looks soooo good, especially the dessert. We're really looking forward to trying this one.

The photopass pic of you guys is awesome, especially how Juliana is holding onto her ariel doll...too cute!

How exciting that you got to see the water pagent....that must have been a neat experience
OH the dessert is DELICIOUS!!!! I can go and just eat that..errrrr after I eat all the other food! :lmao:

Thank you!

The water pageant was cool to watch..... especially since it wasn't planned!

Hi Tim! Happy belated bday to Mel!
Thanks!

I loved your pics of the Pirate room and I had never seen any pictures of the carpet or the fridge! Those were so cool! I'm going to show Jacob and see what he says. He saw Lesley's pictures from the Nick Hotel and that's all he has talked about since... :rotfl2:
Hummmm... maybe I can get him interested in CBR. I have some resort pics coming up!

We ate at 'Ohana for the first time in April and LOVED it!! :lovestruc Yes, it's tons of food but so worth it, right? :) We are going back next trip and we are really looking forward to it. You guys had a great spot!
The food is so good! I could eat here every night! There is sooooooo much food too!

I'm glad to read you're started the PTR for the MAW!! :cool1: I'll be checking it out later. :thumbsup2

Heather
See you there!!!! :goodvibes

The Pirate room makes me wish my son was still little! he would have loved that as a small child! I have booked 'Ohanas and your TR made me even more convinced I chose the right intro meal to DBF's Disney dining experience!:thumbsup2
Wow.. your BF's first meal huh? Now he will compare all other meals to that one! LOLOL I'm sure after you leave 'Ohana he will not doubt your WDW knowledge!

Ohana looks awesome, as usual. Glad that you had another good view of the Castle. That rushed feeling would have gotten on my nerves a bit. Glad you took your time. :thumbsup2 Ana is so cute in the parade. :) I'm probably in the minority, but I really enjoy the Water Pageant. We caught it while we were waiting for a bus at MK last year and thought it was really cute.
Believe me... I wasn't in a rush to eat 10 skewers of shrimp! :lmao: But having all the food come out at once (almost) was a little annoying. What cha gonna do? We were still in the restaurant for over 1 1/2 hours.

I can see myself standing on a balcony at the Poly watching the water pageant every night. ::yes::

MEAT FEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so hungry right now! This place looks postively fun, and I can't wait!! It's our first meal together with our little Lady Group- I think it's perfect for our Trip Intro!
WOW another 1st meal! This will be a nice way to set it off!

I"m glad Ana is spreading her "eating new foods" wings, and was a good eater for you! Maybe she was hungrier than usual after parading and limbo-ing!
She has been doing so good. She actually tried a 4 pieces of my NY Strip I grilled on Tuesday. :scared1:

Sniff, sniff. 'Ohana was the one ADR I really wanted and the only one I'm still sad we had to cancel. Your pics did it justice, and made me want to go even more than before!

I had no idea they did a water parade thingy. Cool! Where I grew up they had a boat parade at Cmas around the island and peninsula. A fun tradition and so magical for the kids. :goodvibes

We walked out of the Poly, found our car, and made the drive back to CBR. There wasn't too many people on the road probably because all the parks were open late because it was officially spring break season now. I pulled into CBR and Juliana was starting to fall asleep. I was going to stop at Old Port Royale but decided I would get the girls to the room. That way they could get showered and Juliana could get to sleep.

When we arrived at the room, there was a garbage bag full of junk 2 doors down from our room. It was there when we got to the room earlier but I didn't think much about it since I saw mousekeeping carts around.

Mel got Juliana bathed and ready for bed while I charged cameras, got the beds ready, and straightened up the room(some..lol) Ana was ready for bed so I kissed her good night and I went for a walk to find some white liquid gold-AKA milk!

There wasn't many people walking around but I took the camera with me and snapped a few pics along the way.

I felt like I was walking F.O.R.E.V.E.R. I finally could see the pool area in the distance. As I was getting closer, I could hear laughing, joking, and some very loud talking. I arrived at the pool area and there was about 20 guys (early 20's) in the hottub drinking beers and I guess 'relaxing' I thought it looked funny. Thinking back I should of took a picture, but that would of been weird! I was continuing my walk for milk when I finally saw the pools.

I finally made it to Old Port Royale. According to the time stamps on my pictures my walk took me about 20 minutes. I was checking out the food court and the gift shop. I went to grab the milk and I snagged the final 1/2 gallon! While I was waiting in line, there was a couple who was looking for the souvenirs they had shipped to the resort and no one seemed to know anything about them. They were leaving in the morning and they were getting pretty upset.

I paid for my milk and started my journey back to the room. Of course I had to stop for a few more pics.

Once I was in Trinadad South I was able to see the tops of the bowling pins at POP.

I figured you guys would want to see the garbage that sat next to my room for over 24 hours!

I was back at the room 55 minutes after I left. Juliana & Melody were sleeping. I booted up the computer to DL the pics off my camera and then got ready for bed. Tomorrow was our last park day... we were heading to MK one more time!!!!!!!

Up Next.... Just when you thought there couldn't be any more surprises....

Sniff, sniff. 'Ohana was the one ADR I really wanted and the only one I'm still sad we had to cancel. Your pics did it justice, and made me want to go even more than before!
Awwwww... I'm sorry you had to miss it. It will ahve to be on your list for NEXT TIME!!!!!!

I had no idea they did a water parade thingy. Cool! Where I grew up they had a boat parade at Cmas around the island and peninsula. A fun tradition and so magical for the kids. :goodvibes

It is old fashioned but it is still neat to see. There was quite a few people with kids sitting on the beach and watching. :)

I think you'd have been up for perv of the year award had you taken pics of the guys in the hot tub. :confused3

EW! That's so un-Disney, gargage laying around for 24 hours! Yuck!

50 minutes to buy milk- I can do Costco in less than that!!!

The resort looks so cool at night! Sucks that you had to walk so long though.

Looking forward to one last surprise!

I love Ohana's! The bread pudding is a favorite of my husband's as well. :thumbsup2 We also have a nice little collection of those cups and their light up counterparts. It all started with the lightup tinkerbell.

I've never been to the CBR, so it was cool to see pics of it. The pool looks like fun and that kiddie area looks like my little girl would love it!

Fogo de Chao is a Brazilian Steak House similar to 'Ohaha...except there's about 20 choices of meat. It was so incredibly good! But LOTS of food! It's a smaller chain, we went to the one in Chicago. If you like 'Ohaha, I'd definitely look into it!

Nice pics. Those late evening/night walks can be quite enjoyable, even at 55 minutes just to get milk.

Yeah, I don't mind the long walks at some of the resorts. There's always something to see at Disney. The fort at the pool looks way cool.

Great resort pics! CBR is so beautiful. 55 mins is a long walk for milk! I guess all those people that complained about the distance for the pirate rooms really weren't kidding!

20 MINUTES????????? And they talk about the LONG WALKS at the CSR. Nothing at the CSR is 20 minutes.

You did great on the pic taking; but I am glad you didn't take a pic of the boys in the hot tub. Well, then again, maybe I wish you would have.;)

Wow - what a walk you had. Yeah, I think the guys would have found you a bit strange if they'd caught you taking a picture of them! You made a good call by moving along!

Whoo hoo! You got the last milk! And I sincerely hope that the couple was able to retrieve their souvenirs. Poor things. :guilty:

Aw, so sad tomorrow is the last park day. I always like for my last park to be MK, too. Can't wait to see what the surprise is!

It would of been a little weird, that's for sure!!! :lmao:

EW! That's so un-Disney, gargage laying around for 24 hours! Yuck!
I really didn't get it... I thought about calling if it was still there when we got back the next day.

50 minutes to buy milk- I can do Costco in less than that!!!
They have COSTCO's where you live????? COOL!!!!

The resort looks so cool at night! Sucks that you had to walk so long though.
It wasn't like I was in a hurry... taking pics and such, but it was a long walk.

Looking forward to one last surprise!
I alluded to one.... they might be more. ;)

I love Ohana's! The bread pudding is a favorite of my husband's as well. :thumbsup2 We also have a nice little collection of those cups and their light up counterparts. It all started with the lightup tinkerbell.

'Ohana is great isn't it? I love it there!

Oh great... Tinkerbell was our first too. I wonder how many more I'm going to end up with! :rotfl2:

I've never been to the CBR, so it was cool to see pics of it. The pool looks like fun and that kiddie area looks like my little girl would love it!
I have more pics of the pools coming up soon! :thumbsup2

I checked it out and Philly is the closest one to us... that would be some trip for dinner! LOL

It sounds awesome!!!!!

It was nice to take the walk and I didn't mind it. But it was a long walk!

I have more pool pics coming up.

I also spent about 15 minutes in Old Port Royale checking out everything and looking through the gift shop.

But yea... it was long! ;)

20 MINUTES????????? And they talk about the LONG WALKS at the CSR. Nothing at the CSR is 20 minutes.
I think it takes about 20 minutes to walk around the lake at CSR. A little longer if you have a 2yr old (at the time) trying out every hammock! :lmao:

You did great on the pic taking; but I am glad you didn't take a pic of the boys in the hot tub. Well, then again, maybe I wish you would have.;)
I'm sure some of you would of liked it... not sure they would have given me a pass if I told THEM that! :hippie:

Wow - what a walk you had. Yeah, I think the guys would have found you a bit strange if they'd caught you taking a picture of them! You made a good call by moving along!
You think the flash would of given it away? :rotfl:

Whoo hoo! You got the last milk! And I sincerely hope that the couple was able to retrieve their souvenirs. Poor things. :guilty:
I donno... but they seemed pretty mad.

Aw, so sad tomorrow is the last park day. I always like for my last park to be MK, too. Can't wait to see what the surprise is!
We HAD to go back to MK... I guess this was our 3rd time in MK on this trip. :wizard:

We just love it there so much! pixiedust:

And that sweet 2 year old did a great job of warming up my hammock for me. :)

You are right...they probably wouldn't have.

I can't believe your almost at the last day of your trip already, but great that you guys got to spend it at MK.

Your photos of CBR at night are beautiful, definitely a resort i'd like to stay at someday.

And ick to the garbage left by your door...hopefully that was remedied in the morning

You weren't flashing around the pool were you??!!!
